Strau$$ – A little dance between the chairs

That the waltz-drunk "Duidu, Duidu" and its relaxed counterpart "Dudidubidu" are actually just a stone's throw, not much more than "a warm embracing dance away" from each other – the masters of Mnozil Brass have known this for ages. For more than thirty years, the seven maestros have been effortlessly curving their sparkling brass instruments between Johann Strauss and Frank Sinatra, between Shostakovich and Prince, or passionately swinging from Schubert over to their chosen relatives at Queen. They are just as indifferent to the solemn grandeur of one side as to the supposed banality of the other. But Strauss – who was ardently revered by Brahms, Wagner, and Verdi, as well as by the craftsmen and the girls from the suburbs (and even a Gershwin) – was the father of nonchalant frolicking between the chairs. Strauss was the first to produce hits by the dozen, he hired an arranger to work faster, and he realized that together with his brothers he could reproduce his sound worldwide. He was the first to blur the lines between high culture and popular culture and became a mass phenomenon as the king of waltzes – never before did the cash registers ring so sweetly. In Strau$$, Mnozil Brass will now truly reveal everything about Strauss. Even the very last thing.

In the end, all that remains is the naked truth.
