Pereyra creates original and unique dance interpretations, in which popular, successful but long-forgotten archaic forms are resurrected. In all scenes of these universes, enchanting and imaginative costumes can be admired, including original clothing from Argentine history. Nicole Nau personally oversees the costume design. Short interludes of their stories invite one to delve into the secrets of Argentine culture, where Nau has lived for over 35 years. Thus, Nicole Nau & Luis Pereyra bring us the real Argentinian tango in its magical pure form, which conquered the world in the 1980s, back. Man and woman in a proud embrace. The journey leads to the rhythms of the Pampa with its Milonga Sureña of black African origin. Indigenous dances lead into a magical past. The Chacarera from the province of Santiago shows unrestrained joy and liveliness, while the Zamba is the most sensual of all Argentine dances. A tenderness that touches. This may be because Luis Pereyra has been on stage for 50 years and knows the roots of his culture like no other. He himself was the protagonist of the groundbreaking show “Tango Argentino” for 10 years, for which he was nominated for a TONY Award. He participated in the most important productions of his country, but at the same time critiqued any "selling out of culture" that dilutes the essence of true traditions. Pereyra creates in his way a depth that emotionally takes your breath away and repeatedly touches and captivates. He creates a work in which modern staging merges with the traditional archaic culture of Argentina that shapes this country.
