Medlz - Die 90er – a cappella
“Die 90er – a cappella“
In 2017 they were last guests at the Kulturkraftwerk, now they are finally coming back to Goslar as part of the 44th Goslarer Tage der Kleinkunst, although moved to May for scheduling reasons.
Female a cappella bands are not as entertaining as their male counterparts? Their sound is too classic and you can't celebrate, laugh, and dance? That these are just clichés has been proven by the MEDLZ from Dresden for over 25 years. And the 90s were not only about "Mr. Vain" and "What is love."
Anyone who lived through the 90s knows that they were musically as diverse as hardly any other decade. Some celebrated to "The Prodigy," while others idolized the Backstreet Boys, and yet others listened to STING, Guano Apes, Alanis Morissette, Phil Collins, or Michael Jackson on repeat. Even film music from the 90s, like that from "Pulp Fiction" or "Home Alone," is still recognized by everyone today and brings a smile or a sigh to their face. And of course, German songs like "JEIN" or "Du trägst keine Liebe in dir," which everyone can still sing along to, also topped the charts. The list of emotions, music genres, and songs is long. This concert evening is all the more entertaining, as there is something for everyone once again. Because those who have experienced the MEDLZ know that closeness to the audience is the most important thing for them.
And as always, their top credo is: entertainment! Their shows are self-ironic and humorous – at the same time charming and deeply moving. With just four voices, the MEDLZ manage either to make every concert hall boil or to create an emotional silence in which you can hear a pin drop. They impress especially with their modern sound, which does not lack bass and beat at any point – on the contrary. With well-measured percussion, they create pop and rock sounds, so that some guests only realized afterward that they had just experienced an a cappella concert.
Doors open approximately one hour before the event.
