The HELLERAU - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste in Dresden is an interdisciplinary co-production and guest performance house that provides spaces for production and presentation for contemporary arts such as dance, music, theater, performance, media art, and visual arts.
The Festspielhaus Hellerau was built in 1911/12 by Heinrich Tessenow and is considered a visionary counterproposal to traditional theater buildings.
Today, HELLERAU connects to the heyday of the house from 1911 to 1914 and offers around 350 events annually in the mentioned genres.
