A "speakeasy," because there is Prohibition all over America, which opened up an immense new field of business for organized crime. In addition, Capone owns numerous brothels, countless betting offices, gambling casinos, and has Chicago firmly in the grip of his gangs. Bribing police and city administration, brutally eliminating opponents, he is a cold businessman and yet a strictly Catholic, caring family man, a colorful personality.
