At the center is Papageno, the cheerful bird catcher. As the narrator, he guides the audience through the story with wit, charm, and a lot of heart. He recounts, from his own perspective, the adventures of Prince Tamino, the brave Pamina, the mysterious Queen of the Night, and the wise Sarastro. He playfully explains what is happening on the opera stage and takes especially the young viewers on an exciting journey.
The plot is told in a shortened and child-friendly version and combined with the most beautiful musical moments from Mozart's original work. Famous arias such as "The Birdcatcher am I," "This portrait is enchantingly beautiful," or "A girl or little wife" are presented in a new narrative context, bringing the world of opera to life.
