“A long long way to go” was written by Phil Collins in 1985 on his 3rd solo album. At that time, he surely had no idea that 10 years later, a few crazy music students would set out to faithfully recreate his songs with a new band. Why would he? Who listens to 2 hours of live music from a band that covers just ONE artist? Today we know better, because the tribute band scene, in which Still Collins is still at the forefront, has become an integral part of the concert landscape in music clubs, city halls, and theaters all over Europe.
Still Collins has performed over 1700 concerts in 30 years, and still, 4 out of 7 musicians are founding members on stage. Then there are the 5 professional top musicians who form the backbone of the entire show and could easily play with the real Phil Collins based on their qualifications. And the attractive singer Katja Symannek, who not only contributes accentuated background and perfectly timed harmonies but is also an amazing duet partner.
