Die Kächeles - Firlefanz!
Folds, AI, and self-driving lawn mowers. In the middle: the Kächeles.
When Käthe and Karl-Eugen take the stage, the daily grind comes to an end – then it's Swabian exceptionalism! In their new program “Firlefanz!”, the two Swabians target modern life and serve it with a healthy portion of wordplay, irony, and plenty of chaos.
Whether it's Artificial Intelligence, which might even be a little bit smarter than Karl-Eugen, or relationship problems that even seasoned couple therapists throw in the towel over – the Kächeles leave nothing out that the normal married madness has to offer. The new digital age collides with crusty bureaucracy, Käthe morphs into the Swabian Alexa, directing Karl-Eugen from one marriage crisis to the next. And when the duo also tries to play through a piece of world literature, even the good Schiller would smile in surprise from his grave.
Käthe knows everything as always – immediately, emphatically, and continuously. Karl-Eugen does too, of course. Theoretically. At some point. Maybe. Under certain circumstances. While she analyzes, philosophizes, and comments, he relies on his tried-and-true mix of excuses, quirky ideas, and silent despair. The chemistry between them? Highly explosive. The punchlines? Precisely placed and ignited at the perfect moment.
An evening with the Kächeles means comedy with pace, depth, and Swabian wit. It crashes in the marriage beams, while parking, and in front of the fridge – and in the end, everything is as usual: The Kächeles continue to argue. And the audience loves them for it!
