Jenny Thiele - Platz Tour
And yes, that's right, Jenny has already been seen on many stages of the country as part of Fortuna Ehrenfeld. And now with her own band and her own album and her own tour and her own sunglasses and everything.
Unvarnished songs between folk and indie pop, full of feminist dedication to the healing possibilities of music. Jenny Thiele draws the audience in with her voice like a vacuum cleaner sucking up dust bunnies and stirs up all sorts of emotional dust.
Everyone who has ever fallen in love with a disco ball hit knows that electronic pop can be more than just the sum of its parts. But to master this principle, you need Jenny Thiele from Cologne and her new album "Platz."

Jenny Thiele does what she wants. She is a musician, songwriter, producer, dancer, and performer. She acts in theater, produces electronic music, or composes catchy songs between folk and indie pop like on her current solo album Killing Time. Constantly reinventing herself, she plays on many different stages. For five years, she toured as a singer and keyboardist with the indie trio Fortuna Ehrenfeld all the way to the sold-out Cologne Philharmonic, tirelessly traveling through the club landscapes.
Outside her window lies Cologne. Cologne-Mülheim, to be precise. Jenny Thiele loves it here, a creative, vibrant neighborhood that is never about stress. Cologne at its best. Born in Dresden, raised quietly in a mousey way at the Lower Rhine, studied in Benelux, the musician is above all one thing: a Natural Born Artist.
Where others might end up on stage by coincidence or entanglements, Jenny Thiele never had any doubt, never the other option. And where others lose focus between art, life, and self-promotion, Jenny Thiele still has a few tentacles left to preferably push forward a new project.
Jenny Thiele has a crush on merging ideas and resources – inspiring each other, trying things out. With Irene Novoa, she maintains the duo AnnaOtta – on their joint musical research journey, the two emulate hypnotic jazz with electronic means, making avant-garde danceable. And how! Additionally, Jenny Thiele has seen herself connected strongly (and recently loosely again) with the band Fortuna Ehrenfeld for many years. Yes, exactly, the charismatic act with the guy in a stole, slippers, and pajamas. The last command. Just through Fortuna Ehrenfeld, Jenny Thiele's concert count soared to dizzying heights.
In 2022, her own album "Killing Time" finally appears – with English lyrics. The enthusiastic resonance that her own songwriting can provoke feels fantastic. Because although she has always written her own music, "Killing Time" opens up completely new spaces. The reduced sound makes the emotional singer-songwriter pieces come across as equally pointed and gentle. Now it can really begin. And this record also serves as a kind of sluice. From this point, Jenny Thiele can now delineate her own legacy from all the bustling before. Motto: Make space. Because it is needed more than ever. And for an album that will be released in 2025. The first really big arrival after all those departures is called: "Platz." Adrenaline!
