Documentary Germany 2025, 90 min
In 1989, Max, Stefan, Katja, Thomas, Nicole, and Daniela were still children in the GDR. In 1990, they became teenagers in a foreign country – a resettlement on the spot. Friend and enemy images changed overnight, and the freedom gained cost them their homeland.
Director Nora Raetsch, who grew up in the GDR, gives a voice to representatives of the Third Generation of East Germans and tells with depth and cheerfulness about the upheavals of the turning point and the insights that this life experience brings.
