When you see Wally and Ami Warning together, you can feel a blind understanding and a deep shared musical foundation within just a few beats. Father and daughter complement each other in perfect harmony despite their differences, and their familiar, relaxed interplay almost automatically captivates listeners. Wally Warning was born in Aruba and has dedicated his life to music from an early age. Over the years, a unique style has emerged: a multicultural crossover that defies categorization. Echoes of reggae and soul, as well as Latin and gospel – the multi-instrumentalist and singer effortlessly jumps between different styles, languages, and sound systems. Unmistakably "Wally" is the Caribbean lightness with which he tells of the power of love. His charisma and presence on stage are further enhanced in collaboration with his daughter Ami.
Ami Warning has been celebrating great successes as a solo artist for some time now, most recently with German-language songs. In March 2022, she won the German Music Authors Award from GEMA as the best up-and-coming musician. Her current album AUSZEIT (2024) made it into the German charts. AMI's gentle, deep, uniquely special singing is characterized by soul – while beats and flow are inspired by hip hop. Her authentic, honest lyrics reflect grounding and curiosity.
