Picknick im Grünen is a punk band from Braunschweig.
The tone is musically and lyrically rough, direct, and aggressive. Behind anger, frustration, and societal criticism, a last remnant of humor sprouts, blooming in precise, almost cynical sharpness.
Musically, Picknick im Grünen operates in the spectrum of punk, between classic hardcore punk bands like NoFX and Bad Brains, German punk bands like Pascow and Adam Angst, spiced with the inevitable influences of scene giants like Die Toten Hosen and the Misfits.
Live, Picknick im Grünen manage to provide therapy for all those suffering from a severe case of shitty reality - prescription-free, as a punk show right in the face.
Only when no fascists sit in parliaments anymore and all -isms and inhuman ideologies have finally disappeared from people's minds can the singer Mr. Schwark, drummer Maren, bassist Simon, and guitarists Marco and Jojo play shallow music for cozy picnics in the park again.
