Herborner Oktoberfest - Wiesn-Party I mit EVE und Ikke Hüftgold

Advance ticket sales for the Herborner Oktoberfest begin

6th Herborner Oktoberfest is just around the corner

While Carnival has only just been “buried” across the country, preparations for Oktoberfest are entering the final stretch in Herborn: Festbetriebe Böckl from the Upper Palatinate will once again stage the sixth edition of this popular large-scale event. The event on the fairground will take place from October 9–11 and on October 16 and 17, 2026.

The two festival hosts, Gerhard Böckl and Sepp Ebnet, are relying—with support from Herborn’s city marketing team—on the tried-and-true ingredients for a big party: an all-out party atmosphere, revelers in dirndls and lederhosen, and Bavarian beer, once again from Benediktiner.

The Herborner Oktoberfest kicks off on Friday, October 10, with the traditional keg tapping and musical opening. To make sure it gets off to a great start, they’re bringing back some familiar faces: local party band Mission:2Party will get things going that evening. And Ballermann icon Mickie Krause will honor the event with his presence and turn the tent into a cauldron once again.
On Saturday, October 11, Herborn can look forward to “Highline,” the band from the Upper Palatinate that has now become a regular guest. Julia Schönberger, Norman Schelter and the rest of the band will get the party tent on Walkmühlenweg ready for another special guest. Lorenz Büffel will be making his second appearance in Herborn, following his visit in 2023. His hits “Baila” and “Johnny Däpp” are sure to get the crowd going.

The first weekend concludes with the traditional Sunday brunch on Sunday, October 12. The Herbornseelbach Music Association will take the stage from 11 a.m., and admission is free.

Local cover band EVE opens the second weekend on Friday, October 16. As last year, they’ll be joined by Ikke Hüftgold. He’s already looking forward to the short drive from Limburg and still remembers well how the tent in Herborn was rocking during his performance last year.

The second weekend closes on Saturday, October 17, with “Blechblos‘n,” a band always welcome in Herborn. Over the past nearly 20 years, they’ve built up a loyal fanbase in the town of bears. Anna-Maria Zimmermann will join them, and her hits “1000 Träume weit” and “Himmelblaue Augen” should provide a rousing finale.
Tickets for a seat in the center section cost €29.90 for each of the four evenings. Table reservations in the center section are free and available for groups of at least eight people. (Email: tischreservierung@herborn.de, phone: 02772/708 223).

The tent will once again also feature more exclusive box areas. The boxes are separated, slightly elevated, and can accommodate up to 50 people when booked in full. Smaller groups are also welcome to book a box. Tickets can be purchased from the usual Reservix advance ticket outlets, such as Reisebüro Herborn or the city marketing office at the train station.

Boxes for all events can be reserved and booked at boxenreservierung@herborn.de (phone: 0151/22739770), subject to availability.

Rückzug über die Minen der Ebene

Thomas Freitag draws a conclusion with his new program.
For the once bright dreams of the post-war child Thomas have now transformed into nightmares – and his anger about this does not leave him cold. With his enormous acting talent, his experience, and his age, he takes the audience by the hand and leads them on his "Rückzug über die Minen der Ebene." As he kafkaesque plays the monkey, it is only because he wants to confront the seriousness of life with the cheerfulness of art. He reveals human hubris, the feeling of being fundamentally superior to animals. Thus, some might get their heads washed once again. However, not the brains, for there, it seems, others have already done a thorough job.
And since Thomas Freitag's parodies are legendary, of course, the greats from heaven also have their say – for they suffer the most under the current ground staff. So, anyone who wants to experience the great transformation artist once again should not miss this program.
