The Kunstzentrum Karlskaserne in Ludwigsburg is a vibrant place for art and culture, housed in the historic walls of a former barracks. With an impressive blend of history and modernity, it offers a wide range of options for events of all kinds.
On the expansive grounds, there are workshops, rehearsal rooms, and stages for dance, theater, music, and visual arts. Two stages – one large and one small – as well as an exhibition space and an inspiring outdoor area are available for performances, exhibitions, and workshops.
The focus of the center is on artistic education and the promotion of children, adolescents, and young adults. In addition, there are courses and workshops for adults, as well as a performance and guest play area for all generations. Each year, around 100,000 people attend the diverse events, including the popular summer night open-air cinema.
The Karlskaserne is wheelchair accessible, except for the armory. The center can be reached from the Ludwigsburg train station and bus terminal in just a few minutes by bus lines 421 and 533; the stop "Agentur für Arbeit" is only about a two-minute walk away. Public parking is available in the surrounding area for drivers.
Whether for exhibitions, theater performances, concerts, or workshops – the Kunstzentrum Karlskaserne offers a unique setting for creative events in a historic atmosphere.
