Heute nichts gespielt - mit Martin Sonneborn und Martin Müller-Reisinger
When cabaret, politics, and pointed conversations meet, the best entertainment and surprising insights are guaranteed: Martin Sonneborn and Martin Müller-Reisinger will take the stage for an evening that will be equally satirical, intelligent, and wonderfully unpredictable.
Martin Sonneborn is one of the most famous satirists and politicians in Germany. As a former editor-in-chief of the satire magazine "Titanic," founder of a political party, and long-time Member of the European Parliament, he is known for his biting humor, provocative actions, and razor-sharp analyses of political events. With his distinctive style, he effortlessly navigates between satire, social criticism, and political reality.
Martin Müller-Reisinger, in turn, has made a name for himself as a moderator and conversational partner who knows how to present personalities not just politically but, above all, humanly. With charm, wit, and sensitivity, he repeatedly elicits surprising stories and very personal insights from his guests. Exciting personalities have already been guests on the theater stage with Martin Müller-Reisinger: Gregor Gysi, Norbert Lammert, Kevin Kühnert, Jürgen Trittin, Jan van Aken, Claudia Roth, Franz Müntefering, Wolfgang Schäuble, Peter Brandt, Ricarda Lang, Robert Habeck, or Alice Schwarzer – to name just a few.
It's not only about the political daily news. Rather, Müller-Reisinger is interested in the person behind the public figure. Thus, private stories and charming secrets are repeatedly brought to light: the first kiss, unfulfilled dreams, the last night spent awake, or the question of what must never be missing from the refrigerator. Were you more of a daredevil or shy as a student? What are your thoughts on gendering? Does social media make us sick? And has anyone ever smoked weed?
Sonneborn will have to explain why his party was the first to demand a "kebap price brake," "Unconditional Minimum Brain for All," and an "Existence Maximum." Why does he want to give the Peace Nobel Prize to the East Germans (the old one, which the EU no longer needs) and build a wall around Bavaria? How do you bring a World Cup to Germany with a few bribery faxes to FIFA officials ("a fine gift basket with specialties from the Black Forest, including a few damn good sausages, and – hold on to your hats! – a genuine cuckoo clock")...?
Of course, it’s also about the political everyday life in Brussels, subsidized alcohol in the MEP bar, the challenges of European politics, and the question of why one should better not leave Europe to "the Leyen."
An evening full of satire, sharp humor, surprising insights, and intelligent entertainment – with enlightening revelations and certainly some fundamental misunderstandings.
