Marcia Bittencourt (Vocals, Percussions)
Michael Arlt (Guitar, Guitar Synthesizer)
Dudu Penz (Bass)

Brazil-Jazz, Bossa Nova, Partido Alto, Baiao, Samba...
An outstanding Brazilian singer with a fantastic stage presence and a connection to the audience encounters a trio that lives this music... The four present the entire spectrum of Brazilian music with great ease: sometimes rhythmic and dancing, sometimes contemplative and chamber-musical.
This captivating band plays with many shades and presents a program that offers noteworthy compositions by Roberto Menescal, Ivan Lins, Jorge Ben, Djavan, Ary Barroso, Tom Jobim, and Bittencourt & Arlt in exciting and fresh versions, beyond a clichéd Brazil copy: thus, the pieces tell a story, unfold their magic, and bring summer with them—regardless of the season.
Marcia Bittencourt is a singer and actress, born in Rio de Janeiro, and studied at the Dulcina de Moraes Faculty of Acting in Brasília. After numerous engagements, she launched her solo career in 2010 with the CD "One Night Bossa," a live recording from the "Glocke" theater in Bremen. In the same year, she represented Bossa Nova at the "Black Art Festival" in Atlanta and shared the stage with Grammy winners Rachel Ferrell, Cassandra Wilson, and Ivan Lins.
She has released four CDs so far and collaborates with many well-known names in the German music scene: Hervé Jeanne, Yorio da Costa, Oliver Gross, Giorgio Crobu, Lorenzo Petrocca, Nicolai Thein, Dirk Piezunka, Stephan Emig, Hans Malte Witte, Michael Arlt, Sebastian Netta, and others.
After the enormous success of her performance at the Frankfurt Citizen Foundation in the Holzhausenschlösschen in 2024, the audience can look forward to a reunion and a chance to hear her again.
