The Cloud
The Cloud ist eine choreografische Arbeit, die von Elizaveta Poliakova in Zusammenarbeit mit Dominic Kiessling entwickelt wurde und Instabilität, Widerstand und Transformation erforscht. Das Stück entfaltet sich innerhalb einer sich ständig verändernden Umgebung, in der die Bewegung des Körpers als Reaktion auf Druck, Reibung und Momente der Ausrichtung mit dem Kunstobjekt Cloud entsteht. Die Performerin bewegt sich zwischen Zuständen von Kontrolle und Kontrollverlust und erzeugt dabei eine physische Landschaft, die zugleich präzise und unvorhersehbar ist.
Der Körper illustriert keine narrative Handlung, sondern legt Prozesse offen: Spannung, Unterbrechung und Neukonfiguration. Bewegung erscheint, löst sich auf und taucht in veränderter Form wieder auf, wodurch eine fortlaufende Aushandlung entsteht.
Innerhalb dieser Transformationen entfaltet sich das Stück als ein metaphorisches Feld, in dem Bedeutung und Wahrnehmung offen bleiben und Bilder, Empfindungen und Assoziationen entstehen können, ohne sich auf eine eindeutige Interpretation festzulegen. Das Stück lädt das Publikum in einen Raum erhöhter Wahrnehmung ein, in dem sich die Aufmerksamkeit von einer festen Erzählung hin zur Unmittelbarkeit von Transformation verschiebt.

The Cloud is a choreographic work created by Elizaveta Poliakova in collaboration with Dominic Kiessling that explores instability, resistance, and transformation. The piece unfolds within a constantly shifting environment, where movement of the body emerges in response to pressure, friction, and moments of alignment with the art object Cloud. The performer navigates between states of control and loss of control, generating a physical landscape that is both precise and unpredictable.
The body does not illustrate a narrative, but exposes processes: tension, interruption, and reconfiguration. Movement appears, dissolves, and reemerges in altered forms, creating an ongoing negotiation.
Within these transformations, the piece unfolds as a metaphorical field in which meaning and perception remain open, allowing images, sensations, and associations to surface without settling into a single interpretation. The piece invites the audience into a space of heightened perception, where attention shifts away from a fixed narrative toward the immediacy of transformation.
