Moving Shadows - Our World!
Over a million enthusiastic spectators!
The Mobilés with Moving Shadows have been in the global spotlight since they always stand on the winner's podium in talent shows. No matter where they perform, they are celebrated wildly. Media and audiences agree: A shadow theater that puts everything in the shade! LIGHTS OUT – SPOT ON! Our world concerns us all! Therefore, the artists continue with their current program “Our World!” exactly where they have electrified their fans so far: It is even more poetic, creative, and astonishing. It visualizes both the sunny and the shadowy sides of our world in an incredible combination of lightness, precision, poetry, comedy, dance, acrobatics, art, and movement.
In 2020, the Cologne ensemble celebrated its 40th anniversary with a new program, which, due to the pandemic, was extended until 2023. Thus, it was clear: The time is ripe for new adventures from the shadow world. The result is "Our World!". The Mobilés have once again staged a spectacular feast for the senses with their Moving Shadows. Loving, suffering, dancing, tumbling, poetic and funny, they enchant their audience – black, white and in color. Shadows that excite the world. They have fascinated, touched, and thrilled their audience since their founding. The highlight of many awards: Winning the French Supertalent in Paris. At the world’s largest comedy festival “Juste pour rire” in Montreal, they thrilled not only the live audience and TV viewers with Moving Shadows, but also the jury. They won two out of a total of six awards, the “Creativity Award” and the audience award “Winner of Hearts”. No other group has achieved this in the 40-year history of the festival.
Seven artists, one screen, plus light and music, are all that's needed for a dreamy journey. With delicate images, the artists, dancers, and mimes enchant their audience. The Moving Shadows create a poetic series of images with astonishing precision and surprising lightness from flowing bodies, swirling temperamentally into the light and disappearing again into the mysterious depths of the space. Behind the screen, their bodies merge into landscapes, animals, and buildings. The result in front of the screen: An enchanted audience.
