Over 20 years of virtuosity, wit, and global success: For around two decades, Salut Salon has captivated audiences like few other classical formations – irrevocably, from the very first note. With virtuosic joy of playing and sparkling humor, acrobatic instrumental skills, and enchanting charm, the four exceptional talents transport entire concert halls into their own world, to surprising, unusual, and wonderfully magical realms of music. For whatever can be associated with the classical music they love: The four musicians connect it!
Two violins, a cello, a piano, and an abundance of creative energy: Salut Salon are "Hamburg's most charming cultural export" (Hamburger Abendblatt). The four virtuosos perform with their "Masterpieces of ‘classical’ comedy" (The New York Times) in the most renowned concert halls worldwide and thrill their audience with incredibly witty performances ranging between Vivaldi and vocal acrobatics, tango and crime scene music, rap and Rachmaninoff. "Wonderful!" (The Economic Times India)
With their new program "Heimat," Salut Salon will celebrate the finale of a concert trilogy starting in 2025: After "Love" and "Dreams," the next great, almost all-encompassing theme follows. A word that rolls off the tongue quite naturally. And yet immediately raises the question: What is it exactly? Is Heimat a place? Tradition? A feeling? Are they the people surrounding you? Or maybe words, languages, sounds?
In any case, Heimat is a very moving topic.
During their travels, the quartet has collected pieces of various colors with open ears and a fine sense. And precisely those will now be brought to the stage in unmistakable Salut Salon style: works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns, or Copland, songs from Finland, France, China, and Egypt, unknown pieces, famous ones, their own compositions, and, of course, as in every one of their programs: Tango Nuevo by Astor Piazzolla. Pieces that again and again, in countless ways, resound with the question of the wondrous essence of this word: Heimat … what is that? And with dreamlike self-evidence, they also instantly give their very own answer: Salut Salon are at home in the world – and their homeland is music.
