Cafe del Mundo - Winterhauch
Long evenings, peace, reflection, and magic - all of this is part of winter like snow. And the perfect poetic sound is provided by the two acoustic guitar virtuosos Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian. Their arrangements tell musical stories of good and evil spirits and pay homage to their home, the Odenwald, and the legendary plateau "Winterhauch". It is music that exudes warmth and a hint of the great mystery, embracing one warmly and inviting them to immerse themselves in different winter moods.
Self-composed and newly interpreted classics offer a large instrumental vocabulary and range from passionately melancholic Copla, relaxed Samba, contemplative Christmas carol, to wistful film music. Whether the bold "Romance de valentia", the soothingly plucked "What child is this", the overflowing melodic sounds of Morricone's "Cinema paradiso" or the universally known "Feliz navidad", they are all like a long warm embrace, an invitation to embrace different winter moods. And above all, Bach's delightfully delicate "Air" shines almost otherworldly beautiful in the darkness of the room.
If winter were music, it would sound exactly like these pieces. A fabulous world of silence, dreams, mystique, and magic, where outside the cold rules and inside the fireplace crackles, bringing us peace and sharing these wonderful musical stories. This is the great art of Café del Mundo, to press the pause button within us, to strike our innermost strings, and to give us these very special Magic Moments.
