GASTSPIEL Lothar Bölck • Bölck gibt Stoff! Immer wieder!
Cabaret by and with Lothar Bölck
Politicians are like real estate: immovable but purchasable. Although at the beginning of their careers the motto of the politician is: Ge(h)wissen. But soon they run. Only after their lobby. First, they walk on foot, later only on foot in service. Instead of daring democracy, they demand a company car. Thus, their curriculum vitae becomes an autobiography. This does not happen by chance, for parties and the state have now become the secret property of large automotive corporations. The SPD belongs to VW, the CSU to BMW, the employment agency belongs to FORD, and the BND to AUDI, for AUDI was once called HORCH. The metamorphosis of the politician: from servant of a people to dealer of two masters. Dealing means acting. The morning question of every politician is therefore: How can I deal without acting? Their action deal space is the narrow ridge between party discipline and lobbying, and between homeownership and external control. On the right, the party, on the left, the supervisory board, behind him his wife, and in front of him the career. As a result of this balancing act, the actual client of the politician - the people - falls by the wayside. Political disillusionment proves: The people are not at a loss for words. Therefore, one must stuff his mouth; the dead do not speak. To make the people a bit talkative again, the politician holds a consultation hour. Once a month, for a whole hour, the people may speak to the politician. The rest is silence. The politician’s attempt to bring lobby, party, wife, and people under his felt hat is called the squaring of the electoral district. Nevertheless, in the consultation hour, the politician never shies away from the questions of the times. Only from the answers. And since the people had to swallow everything for a long time, they may break their silence here. After that, it has to chew on it for a long time. *Politicians and various political actors recognizing themselves in this description are also meant.
Lothar BÖLCK GIVES MATERIAL. AGAIN AND AGAIN! For democracy threatens to degenerate. It teeters between omnipotence and impotence, influence and outflow. Ideology and idiocy. Since stock market quotes have been displayed at the bottom of the screen during televised Bundestag debates, the true power relations have become apparent. The uninformed talk at the top. And the influential subvert them.
