Sistergold
„LuftMaschen“
Sistergold stands for handcrafted music with sparkling spirit, passion for detail, and shining creativity with a high entertainment factor. In their new program “LuftMaschen,” the four saxophonists present not only well-known pieces from jazz, classical, funk, and pop, but also a variety of their own compositions perfectly tailored for the quartet. The common thread quickly becomes visible: the love for music of all genres, the joy of playing together, and the interaction with the audience. With a keen sense for staging, the spirited musicians intertwine their pieces with amusing moderation, skillful show interludes, and surprising grabs from the instrument box. They create musical loops, joke with the guests, and spin straw into gold.
Familiar works such as “Forest Gump,” “Spinning Wheel,” “Palladio,” “Monster Inc.,” or even Johannes Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5” are transformed into new sound weavings with finesse and their own arrangements.
Anyone who has experienced Sistergold knows: It will be a captivating, fine, wild, and entertaining concert evening.
Sistergold unites four professional female musicians on saxophone who merge into a unity with their personalities and different characters – in their music, in their energy, and with radiant joy. Since 2025, Tini Thomsen has joined on tenor saxophone, having made a name for herself in numerous productions, with compositions, and through concerts (including with Nils Landgren, NDR Big Band, house band Joko Winterscheidt Pro 7).
