Idyllically located in the city park, the Resurrection Church in Fürth is one of the most famous architectural monuments of Classicism in the Cloverleaf City. On October 15, 1826 – exactly 200 years ago – it opened its doors for the first time. With a spectacular concert exactly on the anniversary day, Sirka Schwartz-Uppendieck allows the organ, as the "Queen of Instruments," to personally congratulate. Representative organ works from 200 years of music history will be performed: by Fanny Mendelssohn (Prelude in F major), Max Reger (Introduction and Passacaglia in D minor), César Franck (Chorale in A minor), Mélanie Bonis ("Cantabile"), Olivier Messiaen ("Transports de joie" from "L'Ascension"), Heinz Wunderlich ("Allegro con fuoco"), Dorothea Hofmann ("Resurrection"), and Henri Mulet ("Tu es petra" from the "Esquisses byzantines"). Michael Herrschel narratively illuminates the historical context.

Sirka Schwartz-Uppendieck is actively involved as an organist, pianist, and music explorer in the fields of organ romanticism, new music, and music by female composers. She studied in Hamburg and Lübeck with Heinz Wunderlich (the last representative of the legendary Straube tradition), Eberhard Lauer, and Conrad Hansen. She attended master classes with Martin Behrmann, André Isoir, Günther Kaunzinger, Daniel Roth, and Gerd Wachowski. In 2011, she was awarded the title of "Church Music Director," and in 2014 she received the Cultural Special Prize Fürth. As the founder and director of the Fürth Concerts for Female Composers, she has already presented over 450 works by women from all eras to the public. In addition, she is the premiere interpreter of over 100 pieces written at her encouragement: among others, by Horst Lohse, Dorothee Eberhardt, Uwe Strübing, Dorothea Hofmann, Tina Ternes, Yulim Kim, and Lorenz Trottmann. Together with Michael Herrschel, she creates innovative interdisciplinary programs. Both co-lead the biographical concert series "Composer Days" and the festival "Composer Summer" in Fürth. See also:

"The Queen Kings - "The Show Must Go On - 100 % Live" For decades, The Queen Kings have been bringing the immortal music of Queen and Freddie Mercury to the stage live – with pure passion, packed power, and energy from the six band members. Their new show "The Show Must Go On – 100 % Live" is not a copy, but a true commitment to the music – handmade, authentic, and full of energy. Instead of relying on costumes, imitation, and backing tracks, The Queen Kings play everything live – every note, every chorus, every emotion. The rhythm duo Jan Wienstroer (drums) and Rolf Sander (bass) provides that characteristic Queen feeling, Christof Wetter delivers orchestral depth on the keyboards, and Susann de Bollier complements the band with her voice.

The resemblance and the difference - Alice Hoffmann & Bettina Koch in “In Würde alt(b)ern…”

Two rather best friends want to pass on this enormous treasure. They are concerned with the big topics like love, vices, and butter cake.
Champagne in the evening or semolina pudding with cinnamon and sugar? Crochet club or ChatGPT? Can you still fall in love at 70? What improves the pension? Cooking classes, dumpster diving, or posing as “mature women” on sex portals?
Will the two silver surfers end up like the Golden Girls in an unusual senior flatshare in Miami Beach with male visitors or do they look forward to an exciting future in innovative nursing homes?
Artificial intelligence and natural stupidity provide hot fuel for everyday disputes with biting humor.
