Jess Jochimsen confronts the encroaching glaciation of brains and hearts with his own unique mix of clever political satire, beautifully tragic songs, and screamingly funny slides.
“Are we abandoned by all good spirits?” That’s probably the question that arises in light of the general situation. From Musk to Merz, we are witnessing the return of the wounded men, and while you can watch in real time as the autocrats in the West and East shred democracy, the smallest great coalition of all time is throwing a 90s party on credit. Was it really smart to elect someone as chancellor who proves almost daily that he can't do it? And capitalism, climate change, and bachelor parties are still here too...
But since despair is not a solution, the multiple award-winning author and cabaret artist slings his accordion over his shoulder, packs enough reason, solidarity, and calmness, and prescribes himself optimism. Because: Who or what are these good spirits that are leaving us? And why does it always have to be all of them?
In his search for answers, Jochimsen wanders through suburbs and funfairs, honors politeness and other forgotten virtues, and promises an inspiring evening against the ongoing impositions. Lean back. Funny. And hopelessly optimistic.

In Würzburg, the Jessicats have come together – however, founding an all-female band was by no means a conscious decision. Rather, this situation arose quite naturally, just as it does for their male colleagues.
Inspired by their audience and their unique band constellation, the Jessicats have chosen a special homage. The trio plays a repertoire that exclusively features works by female composers. This includes both established jazz musicians like Alice Coltrane, Carla Cook, and Emily Remler, as well as the interpreters themselves.
The ensemble, consisting of Carolin Heuser on saxophone, Victoria Pohl on piano, and Sabrina Damiani on bass, captivates at its concerts with a natural and expressive musical experience, visible joy of playing, as well as courage to take risks and spontaneity. The evening is lightened up by the charming moderation of the musicians.
