Geschichten, die Mut machen
How can topics such as democracy, social participation, identity, or ecological responsibility be told to young readers without losing their complexity? Isabel Abedi, Isabel Pin, Andrea Wandinger, and Efua Traoré discuss the potential of children's and young adult literature to sensitively, differentiatedly, and accessibly convey societal issues.
The focus is on the power of perspective change, a diversity-sensitive approach to language and images, and the question of how stories can foster empathy and make different life realities tangible. A conversation about how books encourage young people to attentively perceive their environment, critically question it, and actively shape the future.
