Our great guitar festival is entering its eighth round.
The “Nacht Der Gitarren” brings together the world's best acoustic guitarists for a festival tour (each time with four musicians), where they present their latest original compositions as well as cover versions. For each tour, the “Nacht Der Gitarren” showcases a group of guitar virtuosos to create this very special evening with solo, duet, and quartet performances, showcasing the virtuosity and diversity within the world of acoustic guitar. The festival is exciting because it not only brings together different cultures but also allows younger artists to encounter more experienced musicians. This mixture is what makes these concerts brilliant. Fans of acoustic guitar will always find something here; they discover new talents or interesting established artists each time (some of whom have already participated in previous “NDG” tours).
The lineup for 2025:
LULO REINHARDT: Born in Koblenz. He started playing guitar at the age of five, with his father as his first guitar teacher. He played for 20 years in the family-owned band, the Mike Reinhardt Sextet, as well as in countless other bands/projects dedicated to various styles (including Gypsy Swing Orchestra).
The Gypsy Swing master Lulo, musically influenced by the artists of the famous eponymous Reinhardt family (Django and Schnuckenack Reinhardt), is the main guitarist of the series. He always performs new pieces from his many projects.
ALEXANDRA WHITTINGHAM: The Brit studied classical guitar, piano, jazz guitar, and composition at the world-famous Chetham's School of Music for seven years. In May 2021, she released her debut album “My European Journey,” which deals with the great era of the guitar in 19th century Europe. This music is her great passion, and she also discovers lesser-known composers and brings them to the limelight.
ELODIE BOUNY: As the daughter of a Bolivian mother and a French father, she grew up in Paris. Early on, her talent for the classical guitar was recognized, and she studied this subject at the conservatory in Paris. She is a multi-talent, playing in many different projects and working as a producer/arranger, orchestrator, and music teacher.
ALEXANDR MISKO: He is the new star of modern “fingerstyle” guitar artistry. At the age of 12, he discovered the acoustic guitar and took three years of classical guitar lessons. He then began to take a greater interest in modern styles. He learned the “fingerstyle” technique online, which he taught himself and has now mastered to perfection. The Russian native has already performed concerts worldwide, impressing audiences with his fascinating technique.
