The Rostock City Hall is the sports and congress hall in the Hanseatic city of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is located on the south side of the main train station and is well connected to the road network via the southern ring road. In the immediate vicinity of the City Hall, there are around 5,500 hotel beds, approximately 500 car and bus parking spaces directly at the hall, and another approximately 500 parking spaces nearby. It is one of two buildings of the Rostock Fair and City Hall Company, in addition to the HanseMesse.
A total of 16 halls or rooms ranging in size from 30 to 2,000 square meters are available for events. The halls are located in two complexes, the large and small event areas. The large event area includes the main hall (Hall 1) with its associated balconies, Hall 5, and the four large foyers. The small event area consists of Halls 2, 3, 4, 6, and the small foyer. Each hall/room can be used individually.
For conferences, there are approximately 6,100 seats available throughout the hall when all conference rooms are set up with chairs. For banquets, a total of 1,540 seats can be provided in three different halls. For sports events in Hall 1, between around 3,000 (handball games) and 5,000 seats (events with seating in the interior, e.g., boxing) are available.
