Andreas (Andy) Böhm, singer and bandleader of the former rock band "String," is on the road with his solo project "String Akustik" – handcrafted music, honest, direct, and full of feeling. After over 30 years on stage in Germany, Austria, Italy, and France, the native of Magdeburg returns to his roots: pure acoustic rock – with guitar, harmonica, mandolin, and a voice that tells stories.

In the program, he has classics from Tom Petty, The Beatles, Sting, U2, Coldplay, Neil Young, and many more.

Whether in a pub, club, city festival, or open air: Andreas Böhm ensures atmosphere, ambiance, and real live moments. This also applies at machwerk together with Ulrike Nocker and Oliver Vogt from be-swingt.

Rock the Circus - Musik für die Augen

The pulsating energy of a rock concert combined with the fascination of world-class circus artistry – the surprise hit is back on a big tour across Germany presented by RTL!

Here comes together what belongs together – breathtaking acrobatics and powerful rock music. Creativity, willingness to take risks, virtuoso dexterity, and the courage for great emotions have always connected the world of rock 'n' roll with that of the circus. Circus and rock have rarely been so close as in the surprising success show ROCK THE CIRCUS.

From a simple idea, a captivating and convincing mix emerged in 2019 that has impressed the audience thoroughly. The tour producers and organizers from Reset Production in Gera love circus and live rock music. Thus, a show was created with a convincing live band and excellent acrobats.

Due to the continued high demand since the premiere in 2019, this spectacular show is once again going on a big tour. Tickets are available at all well-known advance booking offices as well as directly from the organizer at 0365–5481830 and online at http://www.rockthecircus.de.

The in-house Rock-The-Circus band performs live the greatest hits of rock history from legendary bands such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd, Queen, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more. Six full-blooded rock musicians ensure unforgettable goosebump moments and the ultimate live concert feeling.

The musical performances are merged with artistic feats of international acrobats into a new art form – fast-paced, powerful, and wild. Breathtaking acrobatics, magical moments, and spectacular performances meet powerful rock anthems and emotional ballads from 50 years of rock history. Circus Barus offers a Circus cocktail for the whole family.
Under the motto "Circuswelt," our newly assembled program for 2026 will delight you.
You will see animal training with our well-cared-for animals (horses, camels, donkeys, llamas, ponies, dogs). This year, for the first time, you will see trapeze and loop performances by Pascal Frankordi. Our animal performances are presented by the head of the house, Marco Frank, or his daughter Aloma-Tatjana. In our animal performances, you will notice the trusting coexistence of man and animal.
Our artistic performances are diverse and are presented very charmingly by our artists. They are characterized by their fluid sequences and high-quality tricks.
Clown Marcello, with his many antics and his funny and likable manner, will not only make children laugh but also help adult visitors forget their daily lives. He has thought up new tricks for the 2025 season that he has not shown before.

The break offers time to visit the animals
During the break, you can visit our animals and see for yourself the good care they receive. Our animals are regularly checked by the responsible veterinary office and are kept according to the guidelines of § 11, often exceeding the requirements. Our restaurant and clean restroom facilities are also available to you.
Leave the tent with the thought that circus is offered here for the whole family – escape for a few hours from the often stressful daily life and experience a classic circus.
