Based on motifs from the film classic "Mädchen in Uniform"
by Christa Winsloe

A musical love letter... to all those who at least want to attempt to define normality in a way that makes everyone feel seen... The student Manuela von Meinhardis comes to a strictly and authoritatively run girls' boarding school after the death of her mother. Order, discipline, and the almost militant normalization of the individual are what count. The duties – including future ones – are clearly defined. Only one teacher, Miss von Bernburg, meets the girls with compassion and kindness. That Manuela falls in love seems very natural. After all, she's not the only one. But this is, for many reasons, beyond any norm, and so the tragedy unfolds. Generations of teenagers watched the film with their parents and were shamefully fascinated by the spectacular film kiss between Romy Schneider and Lilli Palmer or awkwardly admired the love declaration from Manuela quoting Shakespeare's Romeo. The HLTM dedicates itself to this material with much joy and pop culture, and the question of how community can succeed without homogenizing the individual.

For all people aged 14 and over who love tragic stories, who wish for a fitting song for every situation in life, and who delight in a good story that fundamentally questions everything, including their own biography and societal normality. To love!

Männer und Tenöre singen Comedian Harmonists und mehr - a cappella

Everything you always wanted to know about men and/or tenors (in short: MuT) but were never brave enough to ask, you probably won’t find out on this evening. But with their new program, the a cappella ensemble “Männer und Tenöre” strolls in the footsteps of the legendary Comedian Harmonists and delivers, with their usual ironic nonchalance, cheerful songs and earworms, chansons and hits.

If you happen to share some overly bold, sometimes quite unexpected, but always skimming the truth antics – all the better! The listeners won’t really learn “Everything About MuT,” but will witness the exuberantly performing, well-dressed men Alexander Matt, Markus A. Stürzenhofecker, and Matthias Johler, along with the tenors Thomas Mentzel, Johannes Preuß, and Thomas Waldherr, who promise an entertaining evening with many surprising twists and much enjoyment!

With beverage service before and after the event as well as during the break.

Beat Poetry Club - We Talked All Night

A CAPPELLA SOUL-POP

The female a-cappella group from Vienna promises soulful choirs, groovy choreographies, and catchy beatbox interludes. They bring their own songs and extraordinary arrangements that touch and get under your skin – black as the night and light as stardust. With their program “We Talked All Night,” the singers of Beat Poetry Club create a galaxy of feelings, starry voices, misty sounds, and tension-filled beats. The five girls draw their audience into their orbit and spread good vibes with their powerful female energy.

The band places particular emphasis on show elements, such as vibrant and charming choreography and dance interludes. From cool jeans outfits to sequin-glitter pieces, the girls have everything in their wardrobe to make a concert unforgettable. A special highlight is their neon show with UV light, where they light up the audience in universe-style with glowing body painting.
Beat Poetry Club guarantees an exhilarating performance, tailored to each event. Whether the audience wants to sing along, dance, or simply enjoy, the soul ladies hit the right note for every situation.

VITA

The five soul ladies, powerhouse women, cheeky girls, stage goddesses give the a-cappella genre one, no better, five new voices. With their own songs, known soul hits, and modern earworms, they captivate the audience. Alone with their voices, the five singers create a sound that comes quite close to that of an instrumental band.
The beatboxer Lilly (one of the few female beatboxers in Europe) gives each arrangement a solid beat. Vocal artists Juci Janoska, Nina Braith aka Inana, and Ursi Wögerer aka Miss Bunpun produce sounds filtered and alienated through mouth, nose, lips, and technical sound effects. All three are powerful soloists who let loose on stage, rock out, touch hearts, and encourage the audience to sing along. Bassist Mira not only skillfully shows off her dance moves but grooves in the deepest depths of a female voice, supported by an octaver.
