I kill you back (UA) - Vorpremiere
Two worlds, two lives. In one world, you have to eat, drink, sleep, go to school. You have a name given to you before birth, you have skin imperfections and bad hair days. In the other world, you don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to. Choose your own name (how about Dora The Destroyer?), and as for the skin imperfections: just filter them out. And if you feel different from others, find friends and allies who understand you because they are different too!
The internet – the total free space. Until it no longer is, and they take up that space: the creeps, the haters, and stalkers, who pretend to be admirers, pals, fans. Violence online is a broad field. It ranges from “harmless” harassment to serious threats (“I kill you, bitch!”). It includes hate speech, cyberbullying, stalking, and doxing. The majority of victims: girls and women. The majority of perpetrators: male. #rapeculture #slutshaming. Many of the victims respond by withdrawing from the online world. They delete their accounts on TikTok & Co, they delete their messenger apps, they erase themselves. In the end, the perpetrators are always right.
Not happening, says Zonta. Zonta International, a worldwide association of women in leadership positions promoting the empowerment of girls and women. The Zonta Club of Erlangen has – in collaboration with the Schauspiel Erlangen – commissioned a play. The authors Anita Augustin and Natalie Baudy have – in collaboration – written a play. I killyou back tells the story of a young woman who becomes a victim but doesn’t want to remain one: Dora The Destroyer, a superheroine without superpowers, with imperfect skin and bad hair every day, but she can kill!
Relaxed Performance
For the performance on 07.05.2026, we would like to offer a Relaxed Performance, so that people for whom attending a theater evening on the topic of violence against girls and women presents a great challenge can do so under adapted conditions. The auditorium lights will not be completely turned off, and it will be possible to leave the auditorium at any time and re-enter if desired. Additionally, there will be a contact person available outside the auditorium. Strong visual and auditory stimuli will be used minimally.
