Stoppok - RUND-Reise – die SOLO-Tour 2026
Travel educates. This "RUND-Reise" even more so. STOPPOK, the witty seismograph of our country, celebrates a round birthday in 2026, turning 70. That is too beautiful not to be celebrated. On a "RUND-Reise" through the republic, on the live stages of the country, which have always been STOPPOK's emotional territory and natural habitat. So, let's dive into the jubilee tours with edges and corners, with heart and brain, with a new album and old friends. The text-singing-guitar icon presents himself in the most relaxed birthday mood.
He is and remains the showcase model of an entire guild: For 50 years, STOPPOK has been a unique live phenomenon from the fresh produce department of vital songwriting, as an independent spirit "on solid ground" who early on chose between "money or life," as an outstanding lyricist full of wit, wisdom, and pointed poetry. There can be no talk of diminishing power and ideas. One indication: The last two albums, "Jubel" and "Teufelsküche," landed among the top five of the Media Control charts.
STOPPOK is a singer and musician, highly esteemed by renowned colleagues, who combines loose talk with stunning craftsmanship (he masters his string instruments with a highly personal touch). In recent years, he has added original footwork, as he underpins his sound grounded in folk, blues, and rock with rhythmic dynamism through a foot machine.
This is why STOPPOK can afford to go solo on tour, as he stands out as an entertainer, musician, and storyteller on his own. His acoustic concerts are therefore legendary, for the artist himself "pure freedom."
In December, the solo version of the "RUND-Reise" will take place in mostly seated venues. This is fitting for a new song from the album to be released for the tour: "The longer we walk together, the better we will understand each other."
STOPPOK remains persistent, joyful, and whimsical. He surprises us with special live evenings where spontaneity, mockery, and soul massage triumph. Nothing settles for seventy. What luck! (Andreas Radlmaier)
