Benefizkonzert der BPO Bigband - mit "Special Guest" Stefan Käßner
All music lovers who have experienced a concert by the BPO Big Band (Federal Police Orchestra Berlin) live eagerly await the next edition of the annual Swing and Latin Jazz sounds, which resound every March in the Bürgersaal Waren. The conductor and chief organizer of the ensemble is Jan Diller, a native of Waren, who, thanks to his extensive network, consistently pulls very special "special guests" out of the hat. On March 27, 2026, at 7:30 PM, the versatile musician and entertainer Stefan Käßner will take the stage with the Big Band.
His career took off when he appeared in RTL TV productions such as "Kinderhitparade" with Frank Zander and Hugo Egon Balder, as well as "Peters Musikrevue" alongside Rock'n'Roll star Peter Kraus in the 1990s for four years. His performances earned him viewer awards from RTL.
Throughout his career, Stefan Käßner produced albums for Tyrolis, Ariola, and BMG and established himself as a freelance musician. For over 20 years, he has been active as the founder, singer, and guitarist of the band "ROCKAHOLIX," a 70s Rock Tribute Band. For 15 years, he has also led the band "&BAND," known for its unique acoustic interpretation of rock and pop classics. In addition to his band work, he has thrilled audiences as a support act for renowned artists such as Frida Gold, Marquess, Lucy (No Angels), Wolf Maahn, Max Mutzke, Gregor Meyle, Anna Maria Zimmermann, Luxury Lärm frontwoman Jini Meyer, and many more. And now, the audience in the Bürgersaal in Waren.
As every year, the "Hilfswerk des Lions-Club Müritz e.V." is the organizer of the benefit concert. The proceeds from this event will support children's and youth work in the Müritz region this year.
The event lasts approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute break with beverage service.
