Alice im Wunderland
**We recommend the performance for audiences aged 14 and above.**
It is one of the most famous stories in world literature. The white rabbit, the mad hatter, the queen of hearts, the smoking caterpillar, and the grinning cat have become iconic figures from the book published in 1865. In addition, Carroll's brilliant wordplay and the unique logic of his fantasy world make this text so special. Not least through countless quotes in pop culture (the evening will document this with numerous songs!), the story of the girl Alice, who follows the white rabbit into Wonderland, is deeply ingrained in the collective consciousness...
Trapped in the conventions of English society and his profession as a lecturer in mathematics and logic, Lewis Carroll celebrated the anarchic power of childish nonsense in "Alice in Wonderland." It is funny, sad, and bitter at the same time, raising the question: What is Wonderland really? Who would Alice be today? Where exactly does she land? Is this world into which she falls really childishly innocent, or is there something disturbingly violent lurking beneath it all?
