Marie Diot is a songwriter. She makes music and nonsense, or in other words: a mix of indie pop, chanson, and a whole lot of fun. Her concerts consist of convoluted, funny announcements and songs that charmingly and directly tell stories about things that happen in life, with wordplay and irony. For example, it’s about love and fish poisoning - sometimes crazy things happen that are unbelievable. Some things are melancholic, and some are funny, including her hairstyle, or something like that. Generally, she is optimistic, as calm as possible, always searching for the right words and the best melody, with the wish to touch someone. What Marie has to say is always understood right away, but then you still think about it.
