When Alexandra Stiglmeier talks about the “normal family madness,” not a single eye remains dry. The Bavarian cabaret artist, author, and gifted actress likes to reflect on the weaknesses of both genders while poking fun at everyday life. Because when the husbands are “fighting” in the living room, and crumbling the beloved sofa, when the children rob you of your sleep, and other couch potatoes make themselves comfortable in the good room, there’s no more room for complaints. Action must be taken! So, no more “Hotel Mama”! But how does one evict all this lot from the living room? Does starving the children help? Mmmh… And what to do with the husband?
How good it is that Stiglmeier can quickly slip into various characters with cleverly designed costumes and different dialects. Suddenly, in the living room,
“the knitting women” appear. Yes, and they come up with the funniest ideas. There's Waltraut, who likes to freeze her husband. Then there's Olga, the Russian, who leaves her husband at the hardware store for hours, and Leni from Allgäu has the strangest thoughts on how to best dispose of such a husband.
