Holzminden – Your chance for more knowledge and health
Holzminden, April 27, 2025 – On April 27, 2025, the Stadthalle Holzminden will open its doors for the sixth time for the Gesundheitstag Holzminden – a fair that provides information on central issues of the health industry across generations.
Experts, associations, and volunteers from Holzminden and the surrounding regions offer visitors the opportunity to engage directly on-site. Additionally, there is the opportunity to participate free of charge in expert presentations that address health topics that affect many people in their daily lives.
“Am I actually healthy?” – Many people ask themselves this question, but a precise answer often remains elusive. The Althea Association, a network of health experts, offers an individual assessment. Under the motto “Health – Do it yourself,” a customized vitality concept is developed through a wellness analysis. The experts explain how conventional medical measures can be sensibly integrated into daily life to promote one’s own health. Sebastian Ziß will provide exciting insights into the working methods of the health network in his keynote speech at 3:00 PM.
Central topics at the health day
Personal trainer Andrea Abels develops individual movement concepts based on a test of cellular health. This shows how well the cells are supplied with nutrients and reveals silent inflammations or nutrient deficiencies. In his lecture at 3:30 PM, he will present his methodology.
Reiko Schmidt, a trained shoemaker, demonstrates how important the right footwear is for the health of the musculoskeletal system. At the fair, he presents custom-made shoes and specialized insoles that ensure comfortable walking.
Sandra Leitz introduces an innovative system consisting of a massage chair and a visualization glasses, which provides deep relaxation at the touch of a button. This system can be used for children and adolescents with learning and concentration difficulties as well as in corporate health management.
Visitors can try out innovative treatment devices that stimulate blood circulation through physical vascular therapy. A company from Liechtenstein presents a full-body treatment that promotes circulation and positively influences health.
More mobility in daily life
For the first time at the health day, a foldable electric wheelchair and a stair lift system for home use will be introduced. Experts will provide information on renovation options and explain how co-payments can be applied for through health insurance.
At many stands, visitors will receive valuable information about different living options in old age. Various senior residences and care services will be present on-site and can be compared.
Furthermore, visitors can get information about clean drinking water, air purification systems, free hearing tests, magnifying aids, household aids, animal health, wound management, health insurance, and a simplified emergency call system.
