ROCK meets CLASSIC
The German guitar legend Siggi Schwarz from Heidenheim has been successfully touring for several years with his crossover project "Rock meets Classic" together with his band and renowned philharmonic orchestras throughout Germany.
In 2024, Schwarz celebrated a premiere with "Rock meets Classic" in the sold-out concert hall of the Heidenheim Waldorf School. This resulted in storms of enthusiasm, standing ovations, and prolonged applause during and after the show. On Saturday, May 24, 2025, Schwarz will return to the Waldorf School with a new program.
The program features the highlights of rock history, the hits of Queen, Journey, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Foreigner, Toto, Bryan Adams, Van Halen, John Miles, and many more. Guitarist and producer Siggi Schwarz has worked with several of these stars on stage or in the studio during his career.
Listeners will be taken on a time travel through rock history with beloved evergreens. The band and orchestra create a wonderful synergy of dynamics, harmony, and sound experience. Exceptional singer Markus Engelstaedter, who is considered one of the best Queen and Freddie Mercury interpreters in Europe with his four-octave voice, and the expressive and virtuosic guitar playing of Siggi Schwarz make this format something truly special.
Line-up: Siggi Schwarz (Guitars), Markus Engelstaedter (Vocals), Danny O’Steen (Bass), Max Hunt (Keyboards), Maxx Hertweck (Drums).
The FRANKFURTER SINFONIKER were founded in 1986. The musical flexibility of the orchestra members, many crossover projects, and performances with Udo Jürgens and David Garrett, among others, characterize the varied history of the orchestra. The conductor is South Korean Joongbae Jee. A philharmonic orchestra that knows how to rock and groove!
