In this formation, top musicians have united, each of whom is among the best in their field. In their unparalleled interplay, they offer unique, unmatched musical enjoyment.
Such a formation exists only once: Ten top musicians form the extraordinary, highly professional brass ensemble GERMAN BRASS. With four trumpets, two horns, three trombones, and one tuba, they have decisively shaped brass culture over decades and have become the most successful brass ensemble in Europe. Their special specialty is excellent arrangements of classical music; the repertoire includes works by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, or Tchaikovsky. But GERMAN BRASS also includes jazz, film music interpretations, or even pop in their program.
The ensemble was founded in 1974 – 50 years ago! Since then, it has been continuously writing its success story and filling concert halls at home and abroad. Over the years, new line-ups have been expertly mastered, and an enormous wealth of musical knowledge has been accumulated. Thus, from brass, gold was made!
Thanks to their outstanding virtuosity and their fine sense of the individual sound characteristics of a piece, German Brass has decisively shaped brass culture over decades.
During the Advent season, German Brass presents their new musical Christmas program. Entertaining, with a lot of joy in playing and at the highest musical level, the exceptional musicians promise the audience a top-class musical experience. Alongside Christmas sounds from all over the world, festive and classical melodies by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Friedrich Handel, or Peter Tchaikovsky unfold in the symphonic splendor and unique dynamism of German Brass during the concerts.
