Poetisch und clownesk inszeniert birgt dieses Stück bezaubernde Szenen: Tanz der Vögel, das Spiel der verirrten Kinder vor dem Knusperhäuschen. Höhepunkt: Gretel stellt sich dumm und kann so die ungeduldige Hexe besiegen und in den Backofen stoßen.

Poetically and clownishly staged, this piece contains charming scenes: dance of the birds, the play of the lost children in front of the gingerbread house. Climax: Gretel pretends to be foolish, thus managing to defeat the impatient witch and push her into the oven.
