THE BEST OF BLACK GOSPEL - Eine Auswahl der besten Gospelsänger der USA

24 years on tour, over 1 million enthusiastic concertgoers, and well over 1500 concerts in Europe are impressive figures that underscore the tremendous success of this choir.

The gospel sensation "The BEST of Black Gospel" from the USA is coming back to Germany with their "PEACE ON EARTH Tour this year as well!

The BEST of Black Gospel brings together a selection of the best gospel singers from the USA. The exceptional artists' program offers the most famous and beautiful gospel songs in a two-hour program with instrumental accompaniment. The choir's repertoire includes well-known titles such as: “Oh Happy Day”, “Joshua fit the Battle”, “Down by the Riverside”, “Walk in Jerusalem”, "Amazing Grace", "Go Down Moses", "Oh How I Love Jesus", "Agnus Dei", "This Little Light Of Mine".

The members of this choir come from the diverse musical melting pot of the African American gospel scene. Each singer from The BEST of Black Gospel has absorbed and internalized the traditional gospel songs from childhood in the services of the African-American churches. They later refined their musically grown talent at various colleges and music academies.

The singers have toured worldwide as soloists with choirs such as the Harlem, Golden, or Glory Gospel Singers. Some members of The BEST of Black Gospel have already collaborated with internationally successful artists such as Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, and Stevie Wonder, touring with them or contributing to their albums. Other members of the choir have been able to take on lead roles in musicals such as "Sister Act" or the gospel musical "Amazing Grace" due to their exceptional talent. Since 1999, the choir has been going on a European tour for 2 months each; since then, they have become the most sought-after gospel choir in Germany and Europe. Their success is based on their artistic down-to-earth nature and their closeness to the audience, which is regularly involved in the concerts!

With the vocal quality and musical dedication of this choir, every concert is an exceptional concert where the "Good News" always takes center stage - 'goosebumps' are guaranteed.

Neujahrskonzert - 2025

The Erwin-Piscator-Haus and the Student Symphony Orchestra Marburg invite you to the New Year's Concert on New Year's Wednesday to musically welcome the new year, as is tradition.

Under the direction of Jieun Jun, the orchestra performs at the highest level a classical mix of well-known symphonies and hidden gems of classical music. The soprano Marie Gerhardine Iguchi adds the finishing touch to the start of the new year as the soloist of the evening.
