Baroque violinist Christine Busch's ability to hit the right note and much more was recently confirmed in numerous reviews of her latest Bach CD. "This is celestial music: in its purity, directness, immediacy, in heavenly lightness," wrote one CD review in SWR, calling it a recording "for the island." The magazine Grammophone wrote about the "extraordinary musical intelligence" of the musician, reaching the exact same conclusion: "desert-island quality." Now, Christine Busch, who has been collaborating for many years with the most prestigious ensembles of early music from Concentus Musicus Wien to Freiburger Barockorchester, will lead the Advent concerts of the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck for the first time. She has selected an exquisite program with Italian and German Baroque music, including Bach's Fourth Brandenburg Concerto.
