The Alte Pinakothek is one of the most important galleries in the world. More than 700 paintings from the 14th to the 18th century, including many well-known masterpieces of art, are constantly on display. Several hundred more can be seen in branch galleries throughout Bavaria or are on permanent loan in churches and public buildings.
