Two outstanding musicians of their generation present a program full of timbres, virtuosity, and emotion.

The award-winning trumpeter Simon Höfele, celebrated for his "charismatic brilliance and warmth" (Luzerner Nachrichten), is among the most prominent soloists in Europe. He regularly appears with leading orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, or the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and is also a committed chamber musician and promoter of contemporary music.

Alongside him plays Sebastian Küchler-Blessing, a Bach Prize winner of the Leipzig Bach Competition and a teacher at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. As the former youngest cathedral organist in Germany, he combines the highest technical mastery with stylistic versatility; performances have taken him to the Elbphilharmonie, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the KKL Lucerne.

Together, they present an exciting program that bridges tradition and modernity – from Bach's famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor (BWV 565) and the choral arrangement "Deck thyself, O dear soul" (BWV 654) to romantic and virtuosic works by Max Bruch to a freely improvised fantasy. To conclude, jazz-swinging sounds by George Gershwin will resonate.

An evening that combines baroque depth, romantic fullness of sound, and modern energy into an intense musical experience – a celebration of timbres for trumpet and organ.

What do a donkey with back problems, a hard-of-hearing dog, a short-sighted cat, and a fat rooster have in common? Right, they are all in serious trouble. They have slaved away for humans their whole lives, and how are they thanked for it? With the butcher's axe! So off they go to Bremen, because there the sun always shines and life is free. The musical early retirees look optimistically into the future and can hardly believe their luck when they also discover a pretty little hut by the roadside. The inhabitants, a scared band of robbers, are quickly scared off by a terrifying song. And Bremen? What does one seek in Bremen when the best friends have already been found?

Philipp Löhle's animal world shines through onomatopoetic wit and fast-paced situational comedy. An optimistic plea for more compassion in a performance-oriented society. And for animals that lead the way in humanity – excuse me, snout.

The Langenargener Festspiele is a professional private theater located in Langenargen in the Lake Constance district. The theater primarily presents its own productions in the categories of adult and family theater. The summer theater festival is the centerpiece of the theater, held outdoors in the castle park from June to August, and indoors at the Münzhof cultural venue in Langenargen in case of bad weather. Additionally, theater educational programs and a schedule outside the summer theater season are offered. Since 2021, the Langenargener Festspiele has been a member of the Federal Association of German Stage Associations (DBV). The institution has been operated since its founding in May 2017 by the non-profit Langenargener Festspiele e.V.

Chris Kolonko switches roles like others change wigs and takes his audience live singing into a colorful world between truth and deception. Loud, live, funny – and absolutely on point. As an eloquent moderator, he skillfully guides the evening and combines singing, glamour, and precise stage transformation into captivating variety entertainment.

For many years, Chris Kolonko has thrilled audiences as an excellent entertainer on the renowned stages of the variety world. Agata is eight years old, loves painting, and she is nice – really nice! Even though she heard early on that people say: “Nice is the little sister of boring” and “Those who are nice don’t get far in life,” she remains nice. She just can't help it. But a silly coincidence and her niceness stand in her way in realizing a dream, and she decides to get rid of her niceness. But is it sensible to turn her 'I' upside down and hurt others in the process? And who actually planted the idea in her head that being nice is a weakness? She is not alone with these questions.
NETT! tells of kindness. We all know how hard it is to protect children from violent scenes they are exposed to on social networks and the internet. The cool characters there are always the ones who manage to win and defeat their competitors. And one should definitely not be a loser! Kindness is often depicted as a weakness that leads to failure.
Together, we will discover that being nice is not a character flaw, but a sign of strength and courage.

He has published several books, including the bestseller "Enough with Freedom of Speech!" and most recently "Among the Insane – Why We Need Evil." He is one of the defining voices of the current debate landscape, regularly guesting on talk shows and discussion panels, and is present with columns and podcasts on radio and popular audio platforms. Kulturufer is very pleased to welcome Florian Schroeder as the final act on the last festival Sunday in the big tent. And perhaps that evening we will also learn how to finally be happy – because happiness almost feels like a provocation today: in a time when a lot revolves around whining, complaining, and outrage.

In the evening program of the Langenargener Festspiele, “Die drei Musketiere” unfolds as an electrifying, fast-paced theater event between cloak-and-dagger adventure, fine humor, and great enthusiasm for performance:
France in the year 1628. In a time of political tension, young d’Artagnan sets out for Paris, determined to become a musketeer of the king. But right at the start, he meets Athos, Porthos, and Aramis – three of the most famous musketeers of the land. To his great surprise, they are women: daring, brawling, fond of drink, and full of energy. Together, they become entangled in a dangerous game of love, loyalty, betrayal, and intrigue at court.
When a conspiracy threatens the queen, it soon becomes about much more than personal ambition. Friendship, trust, and unity are put to the test...

The production of the Langenargener Festspiele presents the famous story in a surprising interpretation and invites you to a theater visit that entertains, captivates, and simultaneously shows conviction. A theater experience about freedom, solidarity, and the courage to stand up for what is right together – against the unique backdrop of Lake Constance.

The version specially produced by the Langenargener Festspiele was written and directed by director Andreas Kloos and celebrated its premiere on June 10, 2023, as part of the sixth festival season.

The Langenargener Festspiele is a professional private theater based in Langenargen in the Lake Constance district. The theater organization mainly presents original productions in the fields of adult and family theater. The summer theater festival, taking place outdoors in the Schlosspark from June to August, with indoor performances at the Münzhof cultural venue in Langenargen during bad weather, is the focus of the theater. Additionally, theater educational offerings and a program outside of the summer theater season are provided. Since 2021, the Langenargener Festspiele has been a member of the Federal Association of German Stage Association (DBV). For a marionette stage, it is impossible for dramaturgical reasons to adapt Goethe's Faust appropriately. Attempts to adjust the poetry for the puppet stage through excerpts or abridgments would not only be a nearly impossible experiment but also a lack of respect for the great work of literature. It had to be attempted to create a concise reinterpretation for the marionettes. The text was edited in 1980 by Toni Gruber, who had previously worked as an author for the Tölz Marionettes. Stylistically, the language of free Knittelverses was chosen. This decision was made solely for economic and accentuating reasons and was by no means intended to be an imitation of Goethe's style.

The audio recording used here is also from 1980 and features the former ensemble of speakers from the Tölz Marionettentheater, making it an irreplaceable audio document. Oskar Paul, who unmistakably designed and built the characters and stage set, can be heard in this recording as a Saturn resident. In the process of digitizing and restoring the original magnetic tape, small details were optimized, and a new song for Gretchen was selected.

When Nordic melancholy meets progressive soundscapes, an extraordinary metal evening is guaranteed: Amorphis are going on tour and bringing their unique mix of melodic death metal, folk elements, and epic atmospheres to the stage. Since the 1990s, the Finns have been among the most influential bands in their genre. With albums like Tales from the Thousand Lakes and Queen of Time, they have continuously developed their distinctive sound, combining powerful riffs with profound lyrics often inspired by Finnish mythology.

As a special guest, Múr will open the evening. The emerging band represents atmospheric, modern metal that combines emotional depth with intense dynamics. With dense soundscapes and impressive arrangements, they create a captivating atmosphere and provide a perfect start to the evening.

Together, Amorphis and Múr promise a concert full of epic melodies, powerful metal anthems, and atmospheric moments – a must for all fans of sophisticated, modern metal sounds. 🤘

Pilgrimage reached a special peak during the Baroque period influenced by the Counter-Reformation, especially in Weingarten with its significant Holy Blood relic. What did pilgrimage mean in the 18th century and how did the popular piety of Upper Swabia shape different forms?

Sail into the sunset while tasting exquisite wines.
On an evening cruise on the historic cargo sailing vessel Lädine, you will sample various wines from Immenstaad while enjoying the Alpine panorama and the vastness of the lake.

During a 1.5-hour cruise on the Lädine, a meticulously reconstructed historical cargo sailing vessel, you will be served four Lake Constance wines, each presented by a winemaker, all in an impressive atmosphere and extraordinary setting. Background information will be provided about the history of wine, which is closely linked to Lake Constance.

For the wine tasting, each participant will receive an Immenstaad wine glass, and local bread will be served. This evening is an absolute highlight for all wine and Lake Constance fans.

A French comedy and social satire full of vigor and wit by Gilles Dyrek.

Natalie and Jean-Luc are planning their wedding while renovating their Parisian old apartment. In the evening, they are expecting Christophe and his girlfriend Patricia, whom they do not yet know. However, Patricia is not in the mood for a dinner where she knows no one. On the way there, the two argue fiercely. Angry, she decides to say nothing for the entire evening, which leads the hosts to assume she is a foreigner. They show pity and want to do something nice for her. When Patricia realizes the misunderstanding, she decides to have some fun with it: she suddenly speaks in a made-up language and invents a homeland called Chouwenien. While Christophe wishes he could sink into the ground from shame, Patricia enjoys the absurd situation, and the evening for the four of them unfolds quite differently than expected...

Romantic comedy or social satire? Both. Pieces like "Venedig im Schnee" have been described as therapy sessions, as the entire affluent society is called to the couch. Thus, the audience can see themselves in this turbulent and profound comedy, laugh heartily, but also reflect on their own lives.

The director about the play: "Venedig im Schnee immediately fascinated me – because it starts with a small misunderstanding and creates a wonderfully big chaos out of it. I love plays that show how quickly we get tangled up in our own ideas – while firmly believing we are completely right. I am particularly intrigued by how finely the humor is woven here: a glance, a pause, a misunderstood word – and suddenly the evening takes an unexpected turn. That is the charm of comedy. I look forward to discovering these remarkably human moments together with the ensemble. Because perhaps we will all recognize ourselves just a little bit – hopefully with enough humor to laugh about it."

Charly Gitanos presents an intimate yet highly energetic version of “Flamenco Reborn” with his quartet. In this formation, the show focuses on the pure power of Spanish guitars and the percussive passion that defines modern Flamenco.
The ensemble consists of four exceptional artists who bridge the gap between tradition and contemporary sound. Two guitars weave together with precise percussion rhythms to create a sound tapestry that goes far beyond a classical acoustic set. It is a compact, powerful sound that perfectly captures the essence of Charly Gitanos' musical vision.

A central element is the dancer, who not only impresses with her visual presence and virtuoso zapateado but also enhances the dynamic of the group with her singing and additional percussion as a core band member. The interaction between dance and music here becomes a direct, tangible dialogue.
The repertoire of the quartet ranges from technically demanding original compositions to great Spanish classics. In this format, Charly Gitanos offers an authentic and intimate experience that brings the elegance and unbridled zest for life of Andalusia to every stage.

STAGING
The production consciously avoids the countless interpretations that the work has undergone in its over two-hundred-year history. The Lindau Magic Flute takes place in a fairy-tale land. And not only because the fairy-tale genre deliberately employs logic breaks and paradoxes to enchant in the truest sense of the word. Each audience member is allowed and encouraged to find and create their own story in the Magic Flute.

STAGE HISTORY
The world premiere took place on September 30, 1791, at the Freihaus-Theater auf der Wieden - a suburban stage in Vienna. Already in October 1791, the Magic Flute had nearly twenty performances, and in the following months, the Magic Flute remained successfully on the program of the Vienna stage. A year later, on October 25, 1792, it was performed with great success in Prague, followed by performances in Munich, in 1793 in Frankfurt a. M., and finally in Berlin and Weimar in 1794.

Churches and chapels shape the cityscape of Wangen in a special way. In addition, images, fountains, and sculptures testify to how the people of Wangen have engaged with faith over the past centuries. The highlight of this city tour is the visit to the Rochuskapelle. From the outside, it appears rather simple. But a true treasure captivates the viewer immediately upon stepping over the threshold: It is the slightly vaulted wooden ceiling with 66 painted panels dating from 1598. An unknown artist has depicted the life and works of Jesus and the apostles in the form of a picture Bible.
