That's why the two humor professionals Henning Ruwe and Martin Valenske are going to rock it out one last time before the lack of topics finally allows the cabaret to gracefully retire. The Berlin cabaret artists take a look back at a year between the climate crisis and heat pumps, stick to the Air Force's readiness to fly, which wouldn't have taken off anyway, and ponder whether Artificial Intelligence could actually be a substantive alternative for Friedrich Merz.

The red-and-white checked diary of Anne Frank has miraculously survived, unlike its author. Anne's words become an object of remembrance; her message, which transcends the limits of what can be said, lives on. At first, the girl has the same problems as adolescents today: family, infatuation, loneliness, and the search for her own identity.
But the normal process of growing up is brutally interrupted; she becomes a refugee in her time. Discrimination and oppression, exclusion and inequality, as she experiences them in extreme intensification during National Socialism, are still very politically central issues today.

The time travel of a touching fate that stands as a representative for many.

When Katharina Burges, Torsten Gränzer, and Göran Schade met to make music six years ago, they had no idea that their "Jenseits schillernder Welten" series would find such a grateful audience, lead to nominations for international audio and film awards, and that "Tanzende Seelen" would already be a third continuation. They turned their backs on the mechanisms of the music business, with only sporadic performances – yet the musical "chemistry" among the three is still strong. When they come together, they bring to the surface what wishes to push its way out from their innermost being. Once again, they have looked into the world and placed it in context with their own experiences, shedding light on man-made disasters and connecting them with hopeful and life-affirming themes. An idea emerges of how one might escape the burdensome. Katharina Burges and Göran Schade create expressive, dense soundscapes full of pianistic and percussive diversity, to which Torsten Gränzer adds thoughts and stories. They recall the past, connect it to the present, and look towards what may be the future. While some soul movements may be raw, they can still gently and lovingly entwine in a dance. Their program is as critical as it is heartfelt, as intimate as it is open-minded, and as diverse as ever. Burges, Gränzer, and Schade invite you to enter their musical and thoughtful realms.

After initial studies in trumpet at the University of Music in Sofia, Svetoslav Borisov began studying conducting in addition to trumpet at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, which he graduated with honors in 2010. His first engagements led the Bulgarian conductor to the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, and initially as Kapellmeister to the Varna Opera, and successfully as a guest conductor to the National Opera Sofia. Since the 2016/2017 season, he has been serving as First Kapellmeister and Deputy GMD at the Theater Magdeburg. Furthermore, he is the Artistic Director of the Austrian chamber orchestra CON FUOCO, which he founded in 2007. From 2013 to 2015, he was the assistant to GMD Steven Sloane and conductor of the Bochumer Symphoniker, as well as the Chief Conductor of the Varna Opera until 2016. He continues to be associated with both houses as a guest conductor. Svetoslav Borisov has gained valuable experience working with many internationally renowned orchestras such as the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the Bochumer and Düsseldorf Symphoniker, the Göttinger Symphony Orchestra, the New Philharmonic Westphalia, and the Brandenburg Symphony Orchestra. He has performed in Belgium, China, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Israel, Ukraine, and Turkey, among others.

The German-Afghan writer Mariam Kühsel-Hussaini, born in Kabul in 1987 as the granddaughter of the calligrapher Sayed Da´ud Hussaini, grew up in Germany. With her brilliantly written novel, she has created a monument to the visionary art lover and former director of the Prussian National Gallery, Hugo von Tschudi. The charismatic Tschudi brings French modernism to Berlin at the end of the 19th century - against the will of the emperor and the conservative establishment.

The BEST OF HARLEM GOSPEL on tour in Germany - Grammy Award winner Reverend GREGORY M. KELLY presents with his choir "Music and song on behalf of the Lord".

From Harlem to the wide world. Grammy Award winner Reverend Gregory M. Kelly, who has already worked with music greats such as Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross, will go on a major tour in Germany from December 2024 to February 2025 and present "The Best of Harlem Gospel".

Harlem - the neighborhood in the New York borough of Manhattan - is still famous for the heyday of African American culture in the 1920s, known as the "Harlem Renaissance", which drew legends like Louis Armstrong or Duke Ellington to this neighborhood. Even today, Harlem proudly displays its African American roots, its vibrant culture, its steadfast faith, and musical rhythm.

REV. GREGORY M. KELLY & the BEST OF HARLEM GOSPEL exude the pure joy of life, energy, and dynamism, as experienced in every service in the churches of the New York neighborhood. The singers of the ensemble will be like a Who is Who of the active US gospel scene. A total of nine voices that transport an indescribable atmosphere of the gospel churches in Harlem into Germany's churches and concert halls.

The two-hour program offers everything that makes gospel music so unique, captivating, and moving. In the choir's repertoire are both traditional and Christmas-time gospel songs - starting with the famous and universally beloved gospel classics like "Oh happy day" and "Amen" to "Whole world in his hands" and "Go, tell it on the mountain".

A gospel choir that is incomparable to any other gospel formation. Here, religion plays an equally important and supporting role as it does in the lives of the Harlem population. Because nothing else is the religion lived in Harlem: Music and song on behalf of the Lord. But regardless of age, whether Catholic or Protestant, without a denomination, or still unbelieving, everyone is welcome at the concerts.

"Panic" is a term that today is mainly associated with the stress of the "civilized" world. Literally, it describes the feeling that sometimes grips us outside, in the open nature: the word describes the presence of the god Pan, the ruler of forest and nature beings, of "everything," as the Greek word "pan" actually says. In these moments, we often feel an undefined, powerful fear, we sense a force that confronts us, and we do not know if we can become a part of it or if it will overwhelm us.

Is it possible to overcome the ambivalence of our relationship with nature, to transform human "panic" into a positive feeling? Can we emphasize the desire to preserve and understand people (again) as part of nature and not as its conquerors?

"PANIK - People outside" approaches this question through more than 80 interviews conducted by Carola Söllner during her time as Artist in Residence in Bergen, Norway in 2019 and later in Germany.
From the answers, a performance has emerged that allows plenty of room for personal associations and feelings, atmospherically dense and surprising.

HEARTS - FLYING HEARTS

Welcome to a special musical theater evening in honor of Valentine's Day, where love, romance, and comedy come together! "Hearts – Fliegende Herzen" tells the story of a woman and a man who try to express their feelings for each other through musical declarations of love on this special day. But Cupid doesn't seem to be on their side.

The rendezvous begins romantically, full of hope and love, as the protagonists try to express their feelings through heartwarming anthems, songs, and original compositions. However, misunderstandings soon arise, and what was planned as a harmonious duet turns into a humorous mix-up of bungled declarations of love and missed notes. As they continue to fail, the outcome of the evening becomes increasingly uncertain for the two love heroes. Why are they singing past each other? Is this evening still salvageable? What needs to happen for the other person to understand?

"Sometimes singing is the only solution" - This motto accompanies the entire evening. Yet despite all efforts, fate seems to be against them until a small miracle turns the tide.

Immerse yourself in a world full of romance, music, and misunderstandings, presented by Sophia Euskirchen and Oliver Urbanski. "Hearts – Fliegende Herzen" is an exhilarating, emotional rollercoaster where you can laugh heartily and be touched by the power of love at the same time.

With the accessibility of a songwriter, the sensuality of a dancer, and the nonchalance of a woman with life experience, Tüte Süß takes the audience on a captivating journey into the depths of their own bodies and the facets of human existence.

In her solo program "Leicht Sinnig Potent," Tüte Süß deciphers various ways of relating and continually confronts her own role in the web of human connections. In the intoxication of her songs, the singer narrates tales of pleasurable encounters, inner turmoil, and the curiosity to feel everything. She is accompanied on this journey by Edgar, the skeleton.
