From April 24, 2026, the current themed exhibition "KÖRPERWELTEN – VITAL" will be presented in the MCC Halle Münsterland and invites visitors to a fascinating journey into the inside of the human body.
In impressive exhibits, it becomes visible how lifestyle, movement, nutrition, and emotions influence our physical and mental health. "VITAL" stands for the power that lies within our body – and for the ability to strengthen health and vitality through conscious choices and to gain quality of life.
KÖRPERWELTEN vividly demonstrates what each of us can do to preserve our health and high quality of life for as long as possible. There are only a few events that change our view of ourselves so sustainably!
All specimens displayed in the exhibition are real. They come from individuals who, during their lifetime, arranged for their bodies to be made available for the education of doctors and interested laypersons after their death.

Like every action, perception, or sensation, the feeling of happiness is also a result of certain processes in our body. In the Heidelberg KÖRPERWELTEN Museum, you can discover what exactly lies beneath your skin with real anatomical specimens and which structures are involved in the emergence of the feeling of happiness. In doing so, you will learn a lot of interesting things about your organ functions and about health in general. And you will be surprised at how versatile positive or negative emotions affect the entire body. Because everything we experience, feel, and do or don’t do with our body ultimately has an impact on it sooner or later.

In the nursing home, it has become quiet. Too quiet.
But when Mr. Münchhausen takes the floor, the afternoon coffee suddenly turns into a journey on cannonballs, across lunar landscapes, and through the belly of a whale. Amidst yellowed photos, old armchairs, and forgotten memories, an adventure begins that really only requires one thing: imagination.

In this new version of “Abenteuer des Baronen Münchhausen,” two people meet at the borderline of memory and invention – one perhaps an old charlatan, the other perhaps his last listener.
What is true, what is imagined? And does it even matter when the stories are stronger than reality?

A humorous, touching two-person play about storytelling, aging, and the inexhaustible power of the imaginary.

During this tour of the largest barrel in the world, you will learn the history and anecdotes surrounding this unique building and go to places where few have access*: into the inner, spectacular part of the barrel, where the walls are round and you truly feel like you are inside a gigantic barrel.
• Who came up with this crazy idea and when?
• Where did all the wood come from?
• How did the wine get in and out?
• What is the last secret of the barrel that the builder took to the grave?
All these questions will be answered – and in the end, you will be one of the initiates of the famous Dürkheimer Riesenfass and toast to it – with a glass of sparkling wine or a non-alcoholic drink.

*The regular restaurant operation largely takes place in the "Bütt," the added part of the barrel. Access to the upper, representative, actual area of the barrel is reserved for guests of larger banquets or participants of this barrel tour.

Hella Jongerius: Whispering Things

Seit über 30 Jahren ist Hella Jongerius eine der prägendsten Persönlichkeiten des zeitgenössischen Designs. Ihre wegweisenden Arbeiten reichen von Textilien und Keramik über Möbel und Lampen bis hin zu skulpturalen Werken. Mit ihrem forschungsbasierten Gestaltungsansatz wurde Jongerius zum Vorbild für eine ganze Generation junger DesignerInnen. Die Ausstellung ist die erste Retrospektive über das Gesamtwerk der niederländischen Designerin, die unter anderem mit Maharam, KLM, Camper und Vitra zusammenarbeitete. Das Archiv ihres Designstudios JongeriusLab ist seit 2024 im Vitra Design Museum beheimatet. Die darin enthaltenen Objekte und Dokumente geben Einblicke in Jongerius‘ Arbeitsweise, ihr vielschichtiges Denken, ihre Leidenschaft für handwerkliche Prozesse und ihre intensive Auseinandersetzung mit Materialität und der Symbolik der Dinge. Dabei geht die Leidenschaft für Handwerk und Farbe stets mit einem klaren Bewusstsein für das große Ganze einher. Der Katalog zur Ausstellung umfasst auch eine Dokumentation des Jongerius-Archivs am Vitra Design Museum.

Hella Jongerius: Whispering Things

Hella Jongerius is among the most influential designers of the past decades. Since the start of her career in the 1990s, she has created groundbreaking works in many different disciplines, including textiles, ceramics, furniture, lighting, and sculpture. Jongerius’ research-driven approach has been a defining influence for an entire generation of young contemporary designers. The exhibition is the first retrospective of Jongerius’ oeuvre and will explore all phases of her work, including her famed collaborations with Maharam, KLM, Camper and Vitra. It is based on Jongerius’ studio archive, acquired by the Vitra Design Museum in 2024. The centre stage, though, goes to the methods of JongeriusLab – layering ideas, drawing connections, emphasising materiality, exposing process, and researching deeply, with a dedication to craft, colour, and cosmic thinking. The exhibition is accompanied by a major publication, including a documentation of the Jongerius archive at the Vitra Design Museum.

Sein Geburtstag jährt sich 2026 zum 100. Mal. Aus diesem Anlass widmet das Vitra Design Museum ihm eine große Ausstellung im Vitra Schaudepot, die Pantons Schaffen in seiner ganzen Vielfalt zeigt – von ikonischen Entwürfen wie dem »Panton Chair« über Leuchten und Textildesigns bis hin zu seiner wenig bekannten Architektur. Eine begehbare Rekonstruktion der legendären »Fantasy Landscape« (1/8) 1970, macht Pantons revolutionäres Raumverständnis und den Aufbruchsgeist jener Zeit unmittelbar erfahrbar. Die Ausstellungsgestaltung verwandelt seine skulpturalen, farbstarken Welten in ein immersives Erlebnis. Grundlage der Schau bildet die umfangreiche Verner Panton-Sammlung im Vitra Design Museum, die zu den bedeutendsten ihrer Art zählt und eine einzigartige Fülle von Objekten, Zeichnungen, Modellen und Archivalien umfasst. He made chairs float from the ceiling and created organic living landscapes that continue to fascinate us today: the Danish architect and designer Verner Panton (1926–1998) shaped post-war design like few others. To celebrate the centenary of his birth, the Vitra Design Museum will dedicate a major exhibition at the Vitra Schaudepot to Panton’s work. Showcasing the full breadth of his creative output – from iconic pieces like the »Panton Chair« to his lighting and textile designs – it will also feature several of his little-known architectural projects. A walk-in reconstruction of the legendary »Fantasy Landscape« (1/8) 1970, brings Panton’s revolutionary understanding of space and the spirit of the era vividly to life. The exhibition design transforms his sculptural, colour-rich worlds into an immersive experience. The show is based on the extensive Verner Panton Collection at the Vitra Design Museum, which is one of the most important of its kind and comprises a unique wealth of objects, drawings, models and archival materials. The exhibition, created in close collaboration with Verner Panton Design AG, invites visitors to rediscover a visionary designer – between Pop, utopia, and organic worlds of colour.

In the old town with its medieval squares and winding alleys, charming half-timbered houses stand alongside representative buildings from the time of the Reichskammergericht, shaping the cityscape. Johann Wolfgang Goethe stayed in Wetzlar in the summer of 1772. His experiences inspired the poet to his first major literary success, the epistolary novel "The Sorrows of Young Werther". Also fascinating is the unfinished gothic cathedral, which reflects a piece of the city's history through its combination of Romanesque and Gothic style elements.

The Queen’s Six from Windsor Castle sing daily in St. George's Chapel on behalf of Her Majesty and are celebrated worldwide by audiences and the press alike with fervent applause. “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” musically leads into the world of secrecy and betrayal through the centuries. With pieces from their upcoming album and a-cappella music from spies in the royal courts of England from the Renaissance, to brand new arrangements of James Bond songs, there is something for every musical taste. Works by Byrd, Tallis to Bob Chilcott & Billie Eilish (“no time to die”) will be performed.

The professional ensemble was founded in 2008 to commemorate the 450th coronation anniversary of Queen Elizabeth I. They regularly perform for the Royal Family – both at private and state receptions. Just at the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021 and the burial of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, they were part of the St. George's Chapel Choir before over 4 billion people on television.

Ticket prices remain stable, despite the somewhat decreased audience numbers last year, which makes it not easy for us. You pay …

We would also like to announce price reductions here and switch to a model of social, regular, and solidarity tickets. What we can risk and implement depends directly on the development of visitor numbers next year.

The social ticket (for students, citizens on welfare, etc.) will be simplified this year and will cost (hopefully affordable) 170,- Euro

B. Camping prices

Next year there will be only one price per vehicle, which will help us finance the costs for the area and the fees to the city of Bad Doberan. You can choose between two periods for camping on the Sun Camp or for the Green Camp. The fees for the Green Camp are higher because we have significantly higher expenses there with fees, nature conservation authorities, and setup, and we provide electricity.

If you only want to arrive and camp for the three festival days, you pay 80,- (Early Bird), 90,- (regular) or 100,- Euro (box office).

If you want to arrive and camp in the week before from Tuesday to Thursday, you pay 120,- (Early Bird), 135,- (regular) or 150,- Euro (box office)

B. Green Camp

If you want to camp at the Green Camp, you pay 170,- (Early Bird), 185,- (regular) or 210,- Euro (box office).
It does not matter how many people arrive in a vehicle at the Sun and Green Camps! Two-wheelers are free! Day visitors are free
