Enjoy a deer concert with us at Buchhorster Maase in the heart of Darßwald.

The Buchhorster Maase is a meadow and a traditional place for the rutting season of red deer, who can be found there during the evening hours. With a good pair of binoculars, you can not only hear but also see the animals.
The event is conducted by experts from the Friends of the National Park Boddenlandschaft e.V. on a voluntary basis.
The meeting point is on the g-Gestell path at the junction of Mecklenburger Weg. Arrival by bicycle or on foot. Approximately 3 km from Wieck and Prerow, about 4 km from Born, and around 10 km from Ahrenshoop.

At the meeting point, you will receive a lot of information about red deer and the national park. Afterwards, we will head to the observation platform. This platform has benches and offers protection from sun, wind, and rain. We recommend warm clothing, seat cushions, and a good pair of binoculars.
The duration of the event is flexible, even though the announcement states 2 hours. Depending on the weather and the intensity of the deer rut, it may take shorter or longer. Unfortunately, you cannot leave the event independently before it ends.

Should the excursion be canceled due to force majeure (heavy rain, storm, hurricane), we regret that we cannot refund the purchase price. The tickets will remain valid for the Darßer Arche. The remaining amount will be counted as a donation to the Friends' association. We thank you for your understanding.

„De flotte Schwôbe-Dreier“ guests at Münzhof
Swabian rhymes, sung and played with Koch, Engelberger, and Bretzel

This time they are coming as a trio – and that should not be a threat. On the contrary: The three stalwarts of Swabian small-scale art, Ingrid Koch, Wolfgang Engelberger, and Günther Bretzel, want to make the guests laugh on September 18, 2024, starting at 8:00 PM in the Münzhof in Langenargen. Ingrid Koch and Günther Bretzel, who have been performing together on stage in Upper Swabia for ten years, already filled the hall and thrilled the audience during their last appearance in the same place. “We will definitely come back,” they announced when they said goodbye back then.
Ingrid Koch has long been a constant figure with her rhymed everyday stories, far beyond the small-scale art scene of Upper Swabia. She presents her everyday stories well-rhymed, with a twinkle in her eye, sharp-tongued, and revealingly funny. Günther Bretzel also finds the material for his catchy songs and stories in everyday life. The new weather app, the annoying "electricity rockers" by the lake, or just his own problem with the growing bald head – the former teacher never runs out of topics.
However, on this evening, the duo Koch/Bretzel will be part of “De flotte Schwôbe-Dreier” with their friend and stage colleague Wolfgang Engelberger. As part of the “Maulartkabarett,” the Ravensburger has performed over 500 times on stage together with Manfred Hepperle and Gaby Walser. The reward for that was the Upper Swabian Small Art Prize, which Wolfgang Engelberger received for his “Swabian Word Cabaret” in 2005. With his double-edged humor, Engelberger also wants to get to the heart of the Swabian people's soul in Langenargen.

An evening about the composer Werner Richard Heymann with his songs
and moderation
Werner Richard Heymann introduced himself to his audience with the phrase: “You do not know me, but you have heard a lot about me.” This somewhat modest statement, which accurately describes Heymann's relationship with the public at that time, is still relevant today, about 100 years after the beginning of his musical career: Heymann's music is widely known, yet his biography remains largely unknown. And yet there are only a handful of composers who have shaped the musical life in Germany until the rise of National Socialism and beyond, like Werner Richard Heymann.
Few composers could slip into many roles like Heymann, who felt equally comfortable in the world of serious and light music. Heymann composed, conducted, arranged, and accompanied on the piano. He wrote the biggest hits of the Comedian Harmonists, composed for actors, cabaret artists, opera singers, operetta singers, for large orchestras, salon orchestras, or sometimes even for 4 pianos. Through his music, the love for life and humanity is palpable and audible. The songs touch and move to sing along, dream, reflect, and make the world - with a little wink - a bit more humane and friendly.
This evening presents Heymann's most famous film hits, but also lesser-known treasures to discover. His work for UFA as a film composer will be highlighted as well as music from his operettas and also music from the time of his return to Europe and finally to Germany and his attempt at reconciliation with Germany after the war and return to the film business.
Empathetically and with a twinkle in their eyes, the internationally renowned singers Helena Goldt and Atrin Madani, along with the crossover virtuoso Tal Balshai on the piano, interpret.

Rule madness at school: Maxe (Lucas Herzog) and his classmates must strictly follow more than 777 absurd regulations every day. Draconian penalties threaten for the smallest violation. To make matters worse, the pedantic headmaster Schnittlich (Max Giermann) also wants to seize power over all schools in the country. Fortunately, resistance is stirring. Rasputin Rumpus (Serkan Kaya) from the Boredom Prevention Authority has Schnittlich in his sights. He quickly realizes that the pedantic principal snuffs out any fun right from the start. So, together with the clever head Maxe, Rasputin devises a plan to stop the manic principal before he has draped his overly strict rule framework over the entire educational landscape and eliminated the last bit of fun from the world. CAPELLA CRACOVIENSIS Chamber Choir and Orchestra is one of the most interesting ensembles in the contemporary scene of historical music.
Giacomo Carissimi invented the oratorio as a musical form – his Jephte is very moving, the final chorus a masterpiece! And the story about Ajelet, the daughter of Jephte, is very tragic. It shows how dangerous religion can be, how dangerous people with a ‘closed mind’ are. The Capella Cracoviensis presents this rarely heard work in a staged performance in Dresden.

It is just before Christmas in a remote manor somewhere in France. No cellphone reception, no internet, the estate is almost snowed in and right now a murder is taking place. The lord of the house is found stabbed in his bedroom. An absurd and fast-paced manhunt begins with show performances. Eight women with their pent-up life dreams, emotional abysses, and wounds collide with each other. Each of them desperately tries to keep their own secrets while still finding their own happiness.

Robert Thomas achieved great success in 1961 with his play Eight Women. With fine irony, he caricatures the bourgeois conditions of the fifties and plays with the role models of that time. In 2002, Frank Ozon modernized the material in his world-famous film adaptation.

The Junge Bühne Sindelfingen is presenting the classic in a contemporary adaptation by Ingo Sika and Sabine Duffner as a co-production with the TheaterEnsemble Sindelfingen. As in Ozon's film comedy, songs play an essential role in this production. Chansons and songs from the last 100 years complement the fast-paced and absurd crime comedy.
