A sung look beyond the classical borders! Touching a cappella sounds and colorful arrangements characterize the young vode Ensemble with 20 professional singers. They come together from all over Germany for their projects. The vocalists, who have been connected since their study times, share their enthusiasm for jazz and pop music in full choral strength: "With this, we have fulfilled our great wish to make music together again. The name may be new, but the group behind it is not!"
Musically and personally, the formation has been connected through more than a decade of joint concerts. The singers have been significantly trained in their development by, among others, the Real Group and Voces8, as well as in the award-winning choir Pop-Up.
A particular concern in their concerts is vode's multifaceted sounds, demanding arrangements, and stylistic richness. Their captivating concerts leave room for smaller ensembles and inspire with songs by artists such as Coldplay, Duke Ellington, Sting, or John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
The concert is supported by the Cultural Secretariat NRW Gütersloh.
House opening: 6:45 pm, Concert introduction "The Third Ear", 7 pm, with Andreas Daams
