Sound of Life
MIRO LIVE
KOKUBU, one of the most prestigious Taiko drum groups worldwide, will bring their impressive show "SOUND OF LIFE" to Germany in 2024 and invite you to an unforgettable journey to Japan. This acclaimed performance combines breathtaking drum rhythms with the delicate melody of the bamboo flute and offers a spectacle of powerful athleticism and artistic precision. Beyond sushi and high-tech, KOKUBU reveals the cultural diversity of Japan, from ancient traditions to modern staging. The musicians, dressed in traditional kimonos, including Shakuhachi master Chiaki Toyama, lead the audience through a range of emotions, supported by spectacular lighting effects and choreographies. In 2024, the show will be even more impressive with the use of two large O-Daiko drums. Each piece is explained through a brief introduction that highlights its cultural significance, from the unity of body and mind to the joy of life. Masamitsu Takasaki, world champion of the Tsugaru-Shamisen, adds another musical dimension to the show. A new stage design and innovative lighting concept make "SOUND OF LIFE" a hypnotically fascinating event that makes the spiritual depth of Japan tangible.
