When Alexandra Stiglmeier talks about the completely "normal family madness," no eye remains dry. The Bavarian cabaret artist and author likes to reflect on the weaknesses of both genders and pokes fun at everyday life. Because when the husbands are "bouncing around" in the living room, crumbling the beloved sofa, the children are robbing you of sleep, and other couch potatoes are sprawling in the good room, there's no point in whining anymore. Action must be taken! So, no more "Hotel Mama"! But how do you sweep all this baggage out of the living room? Will starving the children help? Mmmh.... And what about the man, where do we put him?
How nice that Stiglmeier, with cleverly thought-out costumes and various dialects, can quickly slip into different characters. Suddenly, in the living room,
"the knitting ladies" appear. Yes, and they come up with the funniest ideas. There’s Waltraud, who sometimes likes to freeze her husband. There’s Polina Bogdana, who leaves her husband at the hardware store for hours, and Leni from Allgäu has the strangest thoughts on how to best dispose of such a man.
"Stubenrein" promises a short, entertaining evening for him and her - and for young and old. And truly, it’s going to be a laugh.
