Audience and press were in agreement: a truly grand theater! While the audience demanded encores every night with standing ovations, the Hamburger Abendblatt stated: "Even a real gift for Christmas grinches" and "Hardly can the escape from Christmas stress end more beautifully," according to Die Welt.

Theater is illusion – always. And Christmas is magical – sometimes. But the grand Christmas show at the First Stage Theater brought magical illusion to the highest level on stage. Sometimes enchanting and captivating, sometimes touching and teasing, but also cheeky and full of humor – around 50 students from the Stage School Hamburg played virtuously on the keyboard of emotions and showcased their dance, acting, and musical skills in 26 Christmas numbers.

Show duration including intermission: 2 hrs., 15 mins.

Stand-up comedian Peter Kunz is an old hand at the microphone. Former campaign moderator for Gerhard Schröder (back when he was still okay), broadcasting for ARD radio, and 15 years as the stadium announcer for SV Darmstadt 98 - in short: the trained engineer has experienced a lot and still often finds himself firmly standing on a wire.

On stage, he takes the audience back to the 80s, the 90s, and elegantly stumbles through today's everyday life. Always following the motto Acceptance through Persistence.

In 2023, he was the winner three times in a row at the Hot Shot competition of the Quatsch Comedy Club.

With great heart and a lot of energy, the Theater Liberi puts a new spin on the timeless bestseller by Rudyard Kipling about the brave foundling and jungle favorite Baloo. An impressive stage design, colorful costumes, and well-trained musical performers breathe life into the jungle. Musically, the audience is in for a treat: a grooving band of monkeys, Shere Khan as the king of rock 'n' roll, and a funky finale - all complemented by rapid choreography.

For over a hundred years, the story of the foundling Mowgli has captivated entire generations. In the wolf pack led by the head Akela, the kind-hearted bear Baloo, and the wise panther Bagheera, Mowgli has found a new family that teaches him the laws of the jungle. Exciting and grand adventures lie ahead, as Mowgli encounters not only a wild band of monkeys, but also quirky vultures and the mysterious snake Kaa. Choral and organ sounds for Christmas with works by Praetorius, Handel, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Britten, among others.

An Advent without choral music? Unthinkable. How about one of the oldest boys' choirs in Europe, which has a distinctly youthful sound?
Currently, 132 children and adolescents between the ages of 9 and 19 sing in various formations in the Dresdner Kreuzchor. In addition to numerous performances in their main venue, the Dresdner Kreuzkirche, the world-famous Kruzianer also participate in many concerts at the neighboring Kulturpalast or in performances at the Semperoper and can regularly be experienced on tour.
Martin Lehmann has guest conducted with the Windsbacher Knabenchor on several occasions at the master concerts and has been the Kreuzkantor on the Elbe since 2022.
Bernhard Buttmann will be at the Steinmeyer organ for this Advent reunion. The longtime cantor of St. Sebald was also responsible for maintaining the 6,646 pipes of the hall organ for many years.
We can look forward to old and new sounds surrounding the most musical festival of Christianity.

A sound journey to the Iberian Peninsula with vocal and instrumental music of the Spanish Renaissance. Music for solo soprano, various vocal formations and the Spanish vihuela vividly demonstrates the high culture of the 16th century. The title of the concert comes from a well-known Spanish poem that has been set to music many times. It is a special honor for us that Ana Arnaz from the Schola Cantorum in Basel, one of the most important interpreters of this music, is our guest at St. Martin. Of course, a program like this wouldn't be complete without an Ensalada...!

Wiesbaden has its own Comedy Club: Here, new, fresh artists will enrich the stage of the thalhaus Theater with their performances. "The thalhaus Theater wants to give newcomers the chance to perform on established stages like the thalhaus, in addition to the usual high-caliber artists," says Marian A. Drabosenik, Artistic Director of the venue. The concept of these "mix shows" has long been successfully established in many cities and on TV. Each show is different, each show is a surprise. Numerous well-known artists have started their career there. In thalhaus, the Comedy Club is set to become the new highlight of the Wiesbaden cultural scene. Some artists will surely be able to say later: "Today at the thalhaus, tomorrow on TV." With the sympathetic host Freddy Farzadi, we have found just the right person to moderate this evening and roll out the "red carpet" for our comedians, cabaret artists, and musicians! When the three mismatched brothers Hans Torge, Ole, and Frederick come together for the 'Festival of Love', the Advent season turns into a fast-paced and absurd sleigh ride through Christmas songs.
The guys from Hamburg present themselves as a classic boys' choir or a recorder trio, amaze with a lively tap dance to Bing Crosby's "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town", and celebrate the Christmas feast as a virtuoso performance on plates and pots.
Everywhere you hear contemplative house music: Hans Torge charms his way into the hearts of all mothers-in-law with his festive-triumphant trumpet and the melting marzipan in his voice. The sensitive Ole ruminates on the erotic allure of Santa Claus on his flattering jazz guitar, while the otherwise stoic drummer Frederick protests against the annually recurring shopping terror with a socially critical dance.
Furthermore, the ingenious guys offer some practical tips for the holidays, such as the ultimate 'gift guide' or a fitness rock 'n roll to shed off pesky Christmas pounds.
As a crowning finale, numerous illustrious guests have announced their presence at the feast: Udo Lindenberg, the Rolling Stones, and Heino give insight into the greatest hits of their Christmas shows, the gifted chamber singer Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau interprets Loriot's Advent poem as a chillingly virtuosic art song, and last but not least, George Michael, with his choir of Santa Clauses, intones the traditional "Last Christmas" march.

In an old circus wagon on the junkyard on the outskirts of town lives bohemian Fe, on this day three unknown women stumble upon her doorstep. There is accountant Elke, who, after a mishap with her husband's car, is feverishly searching for a replacement part here. Musical actress Panagiota, on the other hand, had come to the premises seeking seclusion to rehearse her new audition role - in peace. However, all hope of that is lost once blogger and karaoke fan Jennifer totters onto the junkyard because she has won Fe's circus wagon on eBay. Little does she know what truly happened in that wagon. The unveiled secret provides plenty of fuel for an extensive catfight, in which the chaotic mess of their personal relationships also plays a significant role. Because even men can be ticking time bombs of drama, causing chaos at home. And the ideal image of a dream man seems to belong right in the junkyard.

They are faced with a highly unusual application situation: they have to solve different tasks, with the four being completely on their own. Each one must prove themselves without really knowing the purpose of the tasks or what is expected of the candidates.
Already the first task sows distrust: there seems to be a representative from the HR department among the candidates.
In the battle for the coveted position, which requires increasingly unconventional means, the personal lives of the candidates are also not spared.

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the demolition of the city wall of Trier in 2025, an exhibition at the city museum deals with the city wall and the development of the city. Starting from the remnants of the wall that came to light during excavations in the cellar of the Simeonstift during the construction work for the extension, which clearly shows the intertwining of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and modernity, the exhibition connects to the time of the wall's demolition and the present.
